Almost always in boutiques you can meet entrepreneurs who make connections with representatives of India. It should be noted that Russia has been actively developing international trade cooperation with this country in recent years. For ordinary people, popular remedies for weight loss, cellulite, as well as toothpastes and other preparations from plants are offered, which simply do not exist in Russia.

Where the Indian Goods Fair 2019 is taking place, you can buy whatever you like. But given that the prices for such events are high, it is best to purchase them in an online store at a discount. Goods from India on the Internet are much better than all exhibitions and fairs combined.

Indian fairs in Russian cities have different names. "Goods from India", "Delhi Bazaar", "India Fest", "Beloved India", "Indian Bazaar" and so on.

Dear friends! The schedule of Indian Goods Fairs for 2019 will be updated as quickly as possible, we ask everyone to send us up-to-date information about ongoing events. Thanks a lot!

I got to know this wonderful event better, then I decided not to miss it in any case in the year 2017. The fate of the bazaar was not easy - at first, under the onslaught of May snowfalls, it was postponed from May to August, then the weather conditions of the summer also began to arouse suspicion. However, the Indian Embassy and the Association of Indian Women in Russia have a special magic - on August 26 it was warm and sunny, as it should be.

The early riser gets the job done everywhere, so carefully skipping the welcoming speeches, I went straight to the opening ceremony and the experience of the richness of Indian culture with the help of the youngest participants — which began with the staged birth of Jesus. There was a manger, Joseph about five years old with a full beard, an unusually stern virgin Mary older and the Magi. This was accompanied by a song about Mary’s Boy Child by Boney M. After such a killer start, the rest of the religions and states (of which I confidently recognize only Punjab) passed almost unnoticed 🙂

Performances on the stage in the garden did not stop for a minute, from morning until evening, my favorite classics were presented by a large number of odyssies - it seems that all the schools of Moscow sent their dancers. I can especially note the Darpan team led by Daria Larina (whose stylish instagram I love her very much for her positive outlook on the world and live reports from Nrityagram - Odissi school in Bangalore) and a very small student of Vitalina Lobach - Odissi in her performance was a real Odissi, not stylized, which is nice.

The second most popular was kathak, elements of which are found in both the bollywood style and various folk dances - bright, groovy, ideal for an outdoor holiday. The abundance of productions from films immediately improves the mood, and not only when the artists are burning on stage, and grandmothers in saris stamp their feet to the beat, but also after running back and forth, striking close by the abundance of jewelry and the richness of the costume.

Summer Indian Bazaar of the Indian Embassy in Moscow 2017 - Darpana group, Odissi

Bharatanatyam (you should have heard how the unfortunate presenter tried to pronounce this difficult word!) - a lyrical digression about the entertainer: wallets were sometimes found in ads, sometimes they were lost (the same ones), groups of one person performed, choreographers of all classical dances became the leaders of the groups , and sometimes speaking, in general, darkness and horror flying in a sari, but in a strange way it even added color .. like the performance of one of the embassy ranks, part-time real rock star)

So, from the southern classics was group "Nirmala" in the sole person of the leader - Yulia Terekhovskaya. I have repeatedly seen her on record, but live - a completely different impression - a gentle, very sensitive and feminine performance. Our dance group was marked by one soloist (Meera bhajan), and already at the very end of the program (so much at the end that I could not stay) students Irina Iskorostenskaya performed with Nandi Chol.

The patriotic blotches of the program killed on the spot - for example, the touching Vande mataram from the smallest ones - India-mother proudly stood in the middle of the stage, in a crown and with a flag, and when they had to repeat the performance from the beginning due to jammed music - she directly yawned right on the stage) Milota!

If the abundance of loud and cheerful music began to ring in the ears, then the guests were offered tents traditional for the bazaar with tea, Indian spices, jewelry, saris and other ethnic clothing, Ayurvedic cosmetics and medicines. The presenter mentioned that last year the most financially successful tray was palmistry, and maybe that's why there were two of them now. In 10 minutes and 1000 rubles, an Indian palmist will predict the future of insistence for you, and for an additional 500 re, he will spice it up to taste with astrology and numerology.

The abundance of food stalls - I counted at least 5 representations of Indian restaurants - and the captivating smell are another point in the obligatory program of the bazaar. Masala chai and a couple of spicy vegetable samosas - a good lunch on my 5 hour shift guarding Indian culture)

For many decades, India and Russia have maintained warm, friendly, partnership relations. The history of acquaintance with traditions, products, exchange of culture began in 1987, when the first festivals were held in the territories of the countries.

Fairs are held annually in the cities of both states. If the main place for them in India is Delhi, then the geography in the Russian Federation is much more extensive.

Where are the exhibitions of Indian goods

Since the beginning of 2018, similar events have already been held in Moscow, Kazan, Yekaterinburg, Nizhny Novgorod, Omsk, Bryansk, Khanty-Mansiysk and other places in our vast country.

In September of this year, the largest Friendship-Dosti festival in Russia started. Residents of 22 large settlements can get acquainted with culture, national cuisine, music, visit expositions. The lucky ones are St. Petersburg, Arkhangelsk, Astrakhan, Volgograd, Vladivostok, Grozny, Yekaterinburg, Irkutsk, Kazan, and many other cities.

Fair in the capital

In addition, Delhi Bazaar will be held in Moscow from 13 to 14 October. Culinary master classes are held on the site. Connoisseurs of oriental cuisine have the opportunity to taste the delicacies and sweets of friendly people.

You can find out where the exhibition of Indian goods in Moscow takes place on the official website of the event.

Events in Krasnoyarsk

Krasnoyarsk residents also have yet to enjoy the oriental diversity. The fair with the sale of a large assortment will open on November 21 at the Siberia International Exhibition Center. Visitors can choose different types of tea and coffee. Many are available for free tasting. Adherents of a healthy lifestyle and those who watch their diet have a chance to get acquainted with various varieties of rice, including the most unique basmati in terms of its properties. What India is certainly famous for is the quality of rice, spices, tea, coffee. Of course, it will not do without a rich selection of cosmetics: toothpaste, creams, oils and much more. Closing will take place on November 29th. The entire period of the fair is open from 10:00 to 19:00. Entrance is absolutely free. You can find out where exhibitions of Indian goods are held in Krasnoyarsk on the city's websites.

"Beloved India" in Rostov-on-Don

Rostovites should hurry up! Indeed, in Rostov-on-Don, the largest fair "Beloved India" has already opened. The pavilion will be open until October 7th. A rich show program awaits visitors! The exhibition presents jewelry with natural stones, textile products, Indian cosmetics made from natural ingredients, furniture, decorative items, souvenirs, many types of tea, Indian sweets.

You can find all this diversity in the Donexpocentre at the address Rostov-on-Don, M. Nagibina Ave., 30.

And now we will tell you what you can find of value at fairs.

Souvenirs

Lovers of the East and India are very fond of various souvenirs: figurines of gods, paintings, candlesticks, all kinds of vases, caskets, household dishes, aroma oils, incense sticks, notebooks and notebooks made of handmade paper, bags, purses, yoga mats and cases for them.

Spices

Many tourists when visiting India buy a lot of spices. Indeed, the quality of Indian spices is significantly different from that offered in large supermarkets. After all, even in the time of Columbus, seafarers paid a kilogram of gold for a kilogram of Indian spices. Cardamom, star anise, cinnamon, cumin, coriander, golden turmeric, many types of chili - all this will add a unique flavor to the dishes prepared in your kitchen. And if you buy saffron at an Indian trade show, you will become the owner of a small amount of wealth. After all, to this day, saffron is the most expensive spice in the world. The best quality and flavor of Kashmiri saffron, which is grown in huge fields. All stages of processing the workpiece are carried out manually.

Spices are everywhere in Indian food, from flatbreads to sweets. And for medicinal purposes, spices can be indispensable, this is confirmed by the most famous and oldest science of life, Ayurveda.

Decorations

Bright, colorful, with filigree sophistication - Indian jewelry may also be of interest to exhibition visitors. The history of jewelry art in India has many millennia. Unique jewelry from the most famous Indian jewelers can be found in the collections of our contemporaries. Wealth, luxury, play of colors - all this is characteristic of rich India.

Of course, very expensive items are not presented at the fairs of Indian goods, but a large selection of silver jewelry, both handmade and factory-made, will delight many lovers of this colorful country.

Indian textile

Indian textiles are no less popular. Silk, cotton, cashmere - this is what India has specialized in since time immemorial. Often at such events you can buy either fabric or finished products. Without a doubt, at the fair you can choose a sari, Punjabi, and other national clothes. Bright, juicy colors, various shades, ornaments - all this can satisfy the most capricious buyers. Variegated and original both in form and in color, all kinds of pillows, capes for upholstered furniture, handmade bedspreads - why not a paradise for a woman?

Particular attention should be paid to cashmere and pashmina. Kashmiri pashmina is famous all over the world. It is the most expensive, high-quality type of cashmere. For the manufacture, combed goat down is used only from the neck and chest of one breed of mountain goats. The rest of the process, from spinning to weaving and embroidery, is also done by hand. Do I need to say that scarves, stoles, pashmina shawls will be quite expensive? But if we take into account that it takes from 1 to 3 months to manufacture one product, then the price is not so high. You can also try on or buy jackets, sweaters, suits, dresses made of the most delicate cashmere.

Indian cosmetics

One of the most popular products is Indian cosmetics. Many tasted it when visiting India, someone was lucky, and they had the opportunity to get to know her through gifts and presentations from traveler friends. Many brands have already gained popularity in the world markets: Jovees, Himalaya, Patanjali.

And about the healing properties of the Boro Plus cream, reviews are passed from mouth to mouth. No less famous are Ayurvedic toothpastes, creams, body scrubs, and hair care products. All this attracts and makes many customers wait and return to the fairs from time to time. A feature of the products of Indian manufacturers is the use of natural raw materials and Ayurvedic traditions in the recipe.

Impressions and reviews about exhibitions

Why do Russians love exhibitions and sales of goods from India? Visitors are offered many opportunities:

  • purchase high-quality spices, products, cosmetics, products made from natural cotton, silk, linen;
  • get acquainted with Indian dances, traditions, taste oriental sweets.

And for those who have already visited this fabulous country, this is an opportunity to return at least for a few days to that bright world of colors, aromas, culture that conquered them during the journey.

Therefore, you can get the most positive feedback about the event. After graduation, visitors often look for information in their city about the place where the exhibition of Indian goods takes place.

All cosmetics are produced by factories. Like any other means, it has a shelf life. Indian manufacturers are required to print the release date and recommended shelf life on the carton, tube or jar. Text is applied in the same way as other information. Therefore, the release dates in the form of stamps may indicate a fake.

The same is true for commodities such as tea or coffee.

Be sure to check textile products for defects.

And a tip for those who are thrifty: if you visit the exhibition on the last day, there is a chance to get a good discount from sellers.

Be careful! In this case, visiting the national Indian exhibition-fair will bring only pleasure.

Where is the exhibition of Indian goods - features, interesting facts and reviews on the site.

Our life consists of everyday little things that in one way or another affect our well-being, mood and productivity. I didn’t get enough sleep - my head hurts; drank coffee to improve the situation and cheer up - he became irritable. I really want to foresee everything, but it just doesn't work. Moreover, everyone around, as usual, gives advice: gluten in bread - do not come close, it will kill; a chocolate bar in your pocket is a direct path to tooth loss. We collect the most popular questions about health, nutrition, diseases and give answers to them, which will allow you to better understand what is good for health.

Have you heard about the Indian exhibition? This event takes place in almost all cities, they travel all over Russia non-stop. The exhibition is open for 10 days from 11.00 to 19.00.

And since I have worked there for two years in a row, I have something interesting to tell.

ABOUT HANDKERCHIEF AND COVER DEPARTMENT

So, last year I stood in the department of the well-known handkerchiefs for 50 and pareo for 100, bedspreads, expensive cashmere and silk scarves.

Briefly about this section: Expensive and almost everything is defective!

Cheap handkerchiefs, it sounds tempting, and even such a crowd around them, you have to take it! Everyone grabs without considering the details, and the next day they come indignant. You are lucky if you did not manage to buy on the last day, otherwise there is nowhere to come for a refund. Expensive bedspreads can become curtains in a second (they just need to be sold). Since the bedspreads are very large, for some reason, buyers do not unfold them completely, but in vain, there is a high probability of finding a trace of shoes at home. Too bad there aren't any photos from that year.

Basically, my regular customers were grandmothers, and grandmothers do not see well. I helped them twice. I was looking for holes and typos on handkerchiefs, and did not count one another as a gift :) Oh, how bad I am! Do you know why I started doing this? When they returned defective scarves to me, I threw them into a common bag under the table, and my Hindu, seeing this, cursed, they say, put it back on the table, the other will not notice.

PRO DEPARTMENT OF AYURVEDA PRODUCTS

This year I went for Ayurvedic products. To be honest, I was a little shocked by these products, so after working there for 4 days I left altogether. Because I can't fool people. The department presented creams, shampoos, toothpastes, eye drops, henna, various ointments. Let's talk about creams.

Appearance. Fortunately, some of the jars were new, unworn and in mica.

What can not be said about the rest, see for yourself what happens:

Expiration dates. Ayurveda (natural) that is, the shelf life should be minimal. For example, creams have a shelf life of 24 months, it is already worth considering. And here's another thing, I'll tell you a secret, when manufacturing, the Indians are in no hurry to stamp the date, they will put it with a regular seal when it is convenient for them, for example, before the fair itself. And when the deadlines come to an end, they erase their seal and stamp a new one on top .. So don't be surprised, but the products are already 5 years old.

Smell. With creams, everything is very sad. Everyone stinks of Vaseline. Shampoo is like nothing.

Compound. The most interesting thing is that the composition on the jars is not indicated. It is written separately on a piece of paper, and it is very tempting, namely, all sorts of naturalities are listed, and at the end "and other protective components." Probably, the protective components include silicones, parabens and other rubbish.

Maybe the information from the buyer’s side is superfluous now, but if you get a job there, then stock up on a bunch of wet wipes, because the work is terribly dirty and dusty, on the first and last day (on the layout and collection of goods) you still need gloves and a mask.

On account of prices . When there are no Indians around, I cut prices up to 50%, because they charge them above reason! They put shampoo for 700 and swear that there is no revenue at the box office.

Many products in my department had Indian prices, for example, amla oil costs 10 rubles for their money, and their money costs 1: 1 to ours, that is, oil costs 10 rubles, and I sold it for 150 !! No, of course I understand transportation, revenue, etc. But still..

I can’t say anything about other departments, but I heard the girls say about the silver department that it’s not silver at all. Prices in the department are different, there are a lot of goods, the cost was calculated from the weight of the product. If they didn’t know the price per gram of a particular product, then they spoke at a guess!

In general, do not forget to bargain, check the goods, ask for certificates for Ayurveda, and remember that natural stones are cold!
