The most reliable information about riverside resort india.

We went to Goa in two pairs, we arrived at the airport, as usual, very early. On the way, the guide stubbornly convinced us that the settlement at the hotel begins only at twelve o'clock in the afternoon. But to our great joy, they settled us immediately as soon as we arrived at the hotel, that is, at half past nine.

It's a pity that they just settled us in different buildings. My wife and I lived on the fifth floor in the farthest building. On the one hand, it was, of course, a decent minus - it was hard to go down the stairs several times every day, but the plus was the gorgeous view from our room!

And our friends were settled in a building that is located right next to the pool on the first floor. The rooms, in principle, are all identical here, only here, for example, our ceilings were very high - about four meters approximately. The area is generally quite good. There is a reception separately then next to the building with a cafe and two swimming pools.

We immediately rented a refrigerator for 250 rupees for the whole time and they brought it to us very quickly. Inside it smelled very strongly of fish, but I immediately bought refreshing tablets for 30 rupees and also scattered two bags of instant coffee there, and after about an hour the smell completely disappeared. And we took a refrigerator so that we always had cold water and beer at hand.

Our room was just great - everything worked great there, clean linen and towels too, there were enough outlets to simultaneously charge all the gadgets. There was a USB input in both the set-top box and the TV. In principle, there were no interruptions in water supply. Except once when I just lathered my head and there was no water. We just laughed with my wife and she immediately went again.

By the way, we did not suffer at all from the lack of air conditioning, the fan was enough for us. The road seems to be near the hotel, but there was no noise from it at all. Even when there was a very grandiose Holi celebration, there was still silence in the hotel. The room had a large balcony and the view from there is amazing, however, I have already mentioned this. The Internet is very good around the clock catches near the reception, even the most voluminous files could be downloaded quickly.

Breakfasts are quite ordinary - toast with butter and jam (and thanks for that, as they say!) Plus tea and coffee. We went to the beach on foot only once because we immediately started looking for a scooter for rent. The first nearby near the taxi stand was on bail of two thousand rupees and 350 rupees per day. Since after a couple of days big problems with this scooter literally began, I do not recommend this option to anyone.

And we took the second scooter not far from the hotel on the left side, there was also a fee of 350 rupees per day, but without a deposit, and they didn’t even ask for documents. In general, I advise everyone to immediately rent a scooter to save a lot of money on a taxi. And you will immediately have a completely different vacation! And then download Goa map and you are free to move! We went shopping and markets, in general, wherever we wanted. The police stopped only once for riding without a helmet. They took a fine of 500 rupees and we had no more problems. We will return to this hotel again for sure! It's great here!

The pros and cons of the hotel.
We were at the hotel in December 2013 as a couple.
The hotel is located on the outskirts of Baga, almost in Arpora, so if you are on foot, for entertainment in the center you will have to walk under the Indian hot sun, and if you are on a scooter - the location of the hotel is a huge plus for you - you don’t have to push through all of Baga to get to the main road, 3 minutes along the bypass - and you are outside this crazy village)) We chose this hotel for the second reason. And so, about everything in order, about the pros and cons of the hotel.
Pros:
1. Undoubtedly, the main advantage of the hotel is its location. The hotel is located near the small river Baga on the outskirts of the village, there is no such turmoil as in the center.
2. The sea is relatively close, there are many hotels with a much greater distance to the beach. The hotel is located at the very end of the huge Candolim Calangute Baga beach, near the mouth of the Baga River and the hill between Baga and Anjuna. By the way, if you go to the beach directly from the hotel, and do not cross the bridge to get to the main beach, you will come to a nice little beach with one shack and a small number of tourists. To be honest, we were only on the main beach on the first evening and did not swim))
2. 2 swimming pools. Well, maybe this is important to someone)) , although for me, Goa does not have to waste time near the pool.
3. The hotel area is small, but clean and relatively well-groomed.
4. Good cafe at the hotel, friendly waiters, fast service (quick in India, everything is relative, except for driving)
5. Large balconies, 2 chairs, a table, comfortable to sit in the evening.
6. According to the rooms - we had a standard, so we didn’t expect anything special, a fan under the ceiling, in December it was enough, a wardrobe, a large bed (more precisely, 2 shifted), a large table with a large mirror, two bedside tables. The bathroom is standard - a shower near the toilet, nothing is fenced off.
There are deluxe rooms, which are already more pleasant there: TV, air conditioning, refrigerator, better furnishings, but this is a slightly different price category.
7. Despite the fact that the hotel is located near the river, there were no mosquitoes (in December), other insects were also not seen.
8. Very close to the hotel are the Saturday night markets of Baga and Arpora. The Bagi market is smaller, in Arpora it is large, a kind of landmark of Goa (open until 01.00 at night). There is a go-kart near the Arpora market.

Minuses:
In general, I want to make a reservation, we didn’t find any cons, as such, maybe because we didn’t want to look, the positive energy in Goa is too powerful, you start to perceive everything with a smile and Indian patience). But if we have already begun to write about the minuses, then we will look)
1. The main disadvantage of the hotel is probably its guests themselves. Either we ended up like this with unsuccessful neighbors, or it’s always like this, but for 3 nights we fell asleep in the morning, because. Our neighbors were VERY noisy. On the last night there was a concert with the performance of our Siberian vacationer, the concert could not be stopped by his wife, friend, or security guard.
2. As far as I understood, there was one security guard at the hotel at night, who could not calm down the Siberian peasant who was speaking out. So, if there is a more serious fight, you should not expect help from him.
3. Russians are trying to settle in a remote building, which is a little worse than the first two. But then there the birds sing in the morning (then the truth is the crows).
4. Breakfast is very poor. Tea or coffee, 2 toasts, butter, jam. Well, in 2 * they are everywhere.
5. The water is already cool in the evening, but it is also almost everywhere at 2-3 *.
6. There is no cleaning as such. The bed will be smoothed out, something will be rubbed and that's it. Upon arrival, there was an impressive layer of dust on the chairs and the table on the balcony, I wiped it myself with wet wipes.
7. Filling tanks with water are located on the roof and are filled with water from the heart, the water flows for a very long time and rumbles on concrete (ground). If you get a number next to such a drain, you risk being subjected to Chinese torture (water).
Perhaps with minuses everything.

My conclusion is excellent value for money, quite a decent deuce for Goa with good location. Take everything with goodness and you will be happy!

Just arrived. Perhaps, of course, it was lucky that they settled in 1 building, which was only after repair. Second floor overlooking the pool, room 110. Everything is brand new! In most 5 of Turkey and Egypt, the numbers are much worse. Very interesting large bolts and doors finished with good veneer. Air conditioning, shower, LCD TV did not turn on. There were no problems with hot water. The only downside is that there is no fridge. It's for a fee. But it doesn't seem to be expensive. Met a girl from another hotel. She went crazy and opened her mouth that there could be such a room in India at all, in an affordable hotel. We went one by one, as the guard watches well.) Which is generally a plus for the hotel. Other buildings appear to be undergoing renovations as well. Before that, there were only fans everywhere, and this, of course, is not the case. Very hot! I can’t say anything about cleaning, as I immediately put up a “Do Not Disturb” sign and never took it off again. Two very clean pools, no bleach. It's nice to take a dip after the sea, and swim anyway. $ it is better to take large ones, they are changed in any shop at the best rate. But you have to count. The course in the hotel, of course, is not the best. But with a guarantee that they will not be deceived and there is no difference in the size of bills. The breakfast is rather weak, but you can always order something. Tea, coffee without limits, toast with good jam. This is what is included. More margarine, not butter. There is not possible. Always for 100 rupees took an omelette. Quite tolerable and not sharp. About not sharp, it is better to talk always and everywhere. No space! There is an omelet for 120, but it's the same + 2 pieces of bread. Moreover, the price list says 100. In general, it's useless. I didn't eat at the hotel itself, so I can't comment. The first cafe that is nearby, at the exit to the left. Good grilled chicken for 260 rupees, warm pita bread 20. It doesn't look like chicken at all. There are a lot of dogs running around, but they assured me that it was chicken)) Very tasty! Basically, everything I've eaten has been delicious. A completely different cuisine, not like ours. Everything was not sharp. At sea, fried shrimp in batter is super. Apparently sauces, seasonings do their job. Hotel guide advises to eat only fried! So, as hands are not washed, halera wanders. It's true, so I didn't risk it. The only place where you can safely eat vegetables and fruits is the Radish cafe. 400 meters from the hotel to the left. There is a Russian hostess, married to a local. Purity Guaranteed! Good guys work. The prices are higher but the portions are bigger. There is a very interesting dish, served with steam. The garnish contains fried pineapples, a thing! Beer is cheaper than other cafes. So for a beer to the store, across the bridge to the city! Second intersection on the right, on the left side. Always cold, 55 rupees worth. Very good, much better than ours, and the European one too. There is also good rum, 170 rupees for a bottle of 0.75 liters. Will go with cola. The shop is first on the left. You can buy drinking water there. Very good, cheap juices in 150 ml. tetrapack with a straw. Only 10 rupees. Lemon juice is interesting. Before entering the beach, they squeeze sugar cane juice. Very tasty, after the sea the most. 20 rupees a glass, unknowingly they can ask for 30. Coconut with a straw - junk! There isn't much milk in the stores. In total, I saw 2 minimarkets in the city. In an antediluvian, old refrigerator, only drinking yogurt in a soft bag. There are no cups. The beach is good, full of sand. The sea is clean, without living creatures. It's good to ride the waves. I didn’t swim far, they say there is a jellyfish, someone was strongly stung and a moray eel was seen. By sunset, everyone is being driven out of the water. An open jeep, driving along the beach and yelling into a swear-box. He drives locals more, although they don’t swim at all, they stand in water up to their waists. Only young people swim. The locals are all kind. They go after white girls like maniacs, but they don’t pester.) Until you get tanned, merchants can bother you. Especially women. They sell beads, fruits, they offer massages and hair removal for women with a thread. It’s beautiful in the evening, tables with candles are right by the water, romance.) When it washes away, they move it further. During the day, it is enough to order one beer, so that there is a sunbed with an umbrella. The rest you can bring with you. I didn’t particularly lie on the sunbed, only when with a girl. Very hot during the day. At first, the general dirt is a little shocking. Virtually no trash cans. Everyone is littering everywhere. The beach is well cleaned every morning. Cows with bulls walk straight along the roads alone. The beach is full of cows and dogs. What the cows are doing there is not at all clear. All kind, never seen evil animals. It is dangerous to walk on the roads, especially when it is dark. There are practically no sidewalks. For some reason, both ours and the locals go as they please. I always walked, only in the opposite direction, to move away when something big was driving. But also, you need to look at both. One evening I filmed a snake crawling across a busy road. As a result, she was run over by a scooter, but she still crawled away. May die. They say they saw big rats. I didn’t see much, although there was one) It was interesting to watch how the road was made. Men and women (they have no distinction), the so-called castes. They scattered rubble with plastic basins, wearing it on their heads. Here, bitumen was heated in barrels. In general, worth a look!
