(Arabic خليج نعمة; English Naama Bay)

Opening hours: Naama Bay can be accessed 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Shops, cafes and other entertainment venues on Naama Bay Street are usually open from 12.00 until the last customer.

How to get there: practically, from any hotel to Naama Bay can be reached by a free hotel bus. Also, you can use the local public transport. In this case, you need to go outside the hotel, to the main road, and catch fixed-route taxi(usually dark blue minibuses of the Toyota brand) that constantly ply along the highway. But, the most convenient way to get to Naama Bay is to use a taxi, which, as a rule, rises in price on the way back, almost 2 times. Naama Bay Street is not difficult to find: you need to walk along the promenade from the hotel Marriott and turn behind the hotel Movenpick to the right, where it will appear, sparkling with neon and lanterns, a busy street.

Naama Bay is the most famous bay of Sharm el-Sheikh, the main artery of the city and the center of attraction for all tourists of the resort. The word "Naama" is translated as "attractive". And this word fully fits this amazing place.

Shopping fans, merry fellows, jokers and lovers of vibrant nightlife rest here. And all because it is here that the most trump place of the resort, "Broadway" of Sharm el-Sheikh, and the main street - Naama Bay, are located.

Naama Bay is international bars and restaurants that meet every taste, various clubs, discos and casinos, shops open until late hours, inviting you to the joys of rich shopping. Music plays everywhere here - on the street, singers perform songs live, trendy melodies are heard from bars and clubs.

In addition to shops where it is worth bargaining to the last drop of blood, there are several places in Naama Bay that will be a pleasure to visit. Many come here specifically in the evenings to go to discos and clubs, for example, Le Pasha (former Bus Stop), which is located next to the Naama Bay shopping complex. Every evening the most dancing here beautiful girls resort.

Hard Rock Cafe - a beautiful and popular place on Naama Bay, with rock and roll trappings and courteous bartenders in branded clothes. Here you can eat well and listen to music. Gambling enthusiasts also appear in Naama Bay - several prestigious casinos are located away from the coast.

In Naama Bay, not only is it good to have fun, guests of the resort are also waiting for luxury vacation. The bay surrounded by mountains attracts with a comfortable average annual temperature, calm weather and great beaches, here is an excellent holiday with young children.

Due to these factors, the most famous hotel empires have chosen to build here comfortable five-star hotels operating on the All Inclusive system. In general, there are about two dozen hotels in Naama Bay, most of them are located on the first line from the beach, but there are also located on the highway.

The beaches in Naama Bay are sandy, with a gentle entry into the sea, there are few fish and corals, but swimming without special shoes is not possible everywhere, but only in specially cleared areas (usually they are fenced with buoys).

Naama Bay is the only place in Sharm El Sheikh where motorized water sports are allowed, due to the lack of corals that were cut down here many years ago. There are many boats, banana boats, quad bikes on the beaches, parachutes, circles and other water sports. There are many diving schools here - beautiful coral gardens are further from the coast, but many divers claim that this the best place in Sharm El Sheikh for diving.

Naama Bay - the most popular place in Sharm el-Sheikh, absolutely deservedly and rightly bears the title of "entertainment center" of the resort. First class hotels, great beach holiday, an abundance of entertainment, and a stormy night life What else do you need for a great vacation?

Tours to Egypt specials of the day

It was easy to live in the Soviet era! Average citizens wore the same type of clothes, ate domestic products, and rested exclusively on the Black Sea. There wasn't much of a choice. And how the Russians are suffering today! Every day you have to compare prices, services, offers, listen to the recommendations of connoisseurs, advertisers, friends.

A long-awaited vacation is a time to relax, leave worries, but no ... Thoughts about the intended place of rest are overwhelmed by nightmares of a tortured hard worker. Decided on the country (I chose Egypt) - this is not enough. The search continues. Thinking of flying to Shar El Sheikh? And it's too early to calm down. The city has 200 hotels located in 13 districts!

How to choose?

We will talk about attractive (price + quality) Egyptian hotels. Our story includes an overview of only five hotels in Naama Bay with photos, reviews, descriptions of services. Small selection, just right for quick search the best option.

So, sharm el sheikh resort selected. Off the coast of the resort is the most beautiful sea in the world! It remains to choose a hotel in a good area.

What is good about Naama Bay?

Naama Bay area - a prestigious place of Sharm, tour operators call it the Arab Las Vegas. The construction of the entire resort began precisely from this bay, and it is indeed the most settled and comfortable compared to other areas of Sharm. Lined up along the famous promenade (sometimes called the Promenade) hotel complexes and shops that sell everything from local exotics (bags made of reptile skin) to precious jewelry. There are no classical theaters in the city, but there is an entertaining Arabic show - buying and selling in the markets, where two actors (a merchant and a buyer) can play a talented scene. The winning price for the buyer is the saved hard-earned money (if he steadfastly withstands the onslaught of the seller, he will be able to get the thing he likes five times cheaper than the originally declared price).

But Naama Bay is famous not only for merchants. There are more here attractive places for a tourist.

With the onset of the Arabian night, Naama Bay blooms with a myriad of electric lights. Shops, restaurants open their doors. The cuisine is the most diverse: Mongolian grill, Japanese sushi, Italian pizza. The owners of restaurants literally throw carpets at the feet of tourists, if only they would come to them to try lobsters or lobsters caught off the coast. All the seafood that vacationers saw while scuba diving are on display: shrimps, octopuses, mollusks, marine predators. The guest chooses an outlandish animal, and it is immediately sent to the kitchen, turning it into a delicious dish.

In the night Club Pacha multilingual youth rock at the coolest disco in Sharm. Cafe Ghazala known for its excellent musical accompaniment in the evenings.

The main advantage of Naama Bay is the beaches

The corals near the shore of the bay are cut off, so entering the water is very convenient. Clean sand without stones is loved by children. Small pontoons lead to the depth. In the winter months, when the winds rage in Sinai, Naama Bay is quiet and calm. Experienced operators in winter advise choosing hotels in this area, although they are more expensive than hotels in Nabq, Soho and others.

We offer an overview of five popular hotels in Naama Bay.

Tropitel Naama Bay 5* - excellent animation

Great hotel in the center of Naama Bay. Rooms overlook the Red Sea or the main pedestrian street.

On the territory of Tropitel Naama:

  • 4 swimming pools and a mini-water park of three slides;
  • diving center ();
  • SPA-salon;
  • 8 restaurants;
  • Fitness Centre;
  • Internet cafe;
  • mini-club (from 4 to 12);
  • sand beach.

“By European standards, Tropitel Naama is a solid four. It turned out that the huge territory that we were tempted into when choosing a hotel is not always convenient. By the time you get out of your room to the entertainment shows, you'll be tired. About animation a separate word. Children's animators do a great job. We couldn't get our tomboys out of the club to swim in the sea. The boys brought home a bag of their crafts. And adults in the evenings in the hotel are bored. Opposite the exit of Tropitel there is a decent cafe. We took a bottle of mineral water and watched a local show.”

Sol Y Mar Naama Bay 4 * - honest youth hotel

A small hotel 10 minutes from the airport and the bustling center of Naama Bay. There is one restaurant in Solymar with a large terrace overlooking the bay. For kids, the restaurant provides a children's menu. In the territory:

  • three bars;
  • pool;
  • tennis court.

“We rested in Solymar in July 2017. A small clean area with one pool. It took 15 minutes to walk to the beach. Although every hour there runs a minibus. The beach is sandy, where tourists from many hotels are roasting. Animation liked: disco, polo, aerobics. Animators are funny guys. Lots of English. I was shocked by a small incident, or rather, the reaction of the staff to my stupidity. In the morning I ran out of the room and forgot to lock the safe! In the evening at the reception, the administrator warned that the safe in the room was not locked. With bated breath, I looked into the interior of the vault and saw all the documents and money in place. The cleaner, having discovered my oversight, did not even clean the room. Just went out and alerted the admins. Arabs are honest!”

Royal Oasis Naama Bay Resort 4 * - elegant and budget

Entertainment:

  • two pools;
  • jacuzzi;
  • minibus to the beach;
  • aerobics.

Food types:

  • breakfast;
  • half board (breakfast, dinner);
  • system " All inclusive» ().

“All inclusive in the Royale means that you have to sip beer from plastic cups and then if you get it. Our neighbors booked a room and breakfast only. They did the right thing: the cost of the tour is less, but the impressions from visiting local eateries are dark. Listened to their rave reviews of Egyptian food daily. Excursions were booked at the bottom of the stairs, at the Italy bureau. Prices - wow! - half the price of hotels.

Moevenpick Resort 5 * - a luxurious hotel overlooking the bay

Luxurious hotel in Arabic style on the 1st line. From all rooms in Movenpink you can see the bay.

  • pool;
  • several sandy beaches ("quiet", "sports" and a beach for divers);
  • three restaurants (main and two a la carte restaurants);
  • oriental cafe;
  • several bars;
  • 4 tennis courts;
  • SPA-salon;
  • kids club;
  • riding school;
  • water activities (diving, windsurfing).

Angelina:

“The best hotel in Egypt! In fact, Movenpink is more chic than it looks in the photo on the Internet. The staff is smiling, many mumble in Russian. The service is excellent, because the tour is well worth it. Lots of English and French. I did not like the food - it does not pull on 5 stars. "Rubber" beef four days in a row. Food instantly became more enjoyable after the end of Ramadan. Chicken, turkey, fish appeared. Friends, refuse to travel to Arab countries on Muslim holidays!

Hilton Sharm El Sheikh Fayrouz Resort 4 * - separate bungalows and own super-beach

The hotel is located in the center of Naama Bay next to the state-owned Carefour supermarket. Guests are accommodated in bungalow cottages with a separate entrance. Each bungalow has a large terrace. Hilton Fairows Beach is the largest beach on the coast. Meals: half board.

  • swimming pool, jacuzzi;
  • free gym;
  • kids club;
  • SPA-center;
  • diving club;
  • tennis court (paid).

"Good hotel. A stone's throw from entertainment clubs and discos, there is thundering music, and on the territory of Fairows there is silence and grace. Freshly squeezed juices in huge quantities for breakfast surprised. The beach is luxurious! According to the reviews of friends who visit Egypt annually and choose only best hotels, it's a super beach on the whole red sea. I went into the water without special shoes. Inexpensive vacation. Gained strength, I recommend to everyone!”

“Before leaving, I doubted whether it was worth choosing the Egyptian “four”? Heartbreaking reviews frightened: someone was bitten by mosquitoes, someone was deaf from the roar of aircraft. But how seasoned traveler, I was searching for good feedback. The unfortunate is bad everywhere, the happy will find pluses in the swamp. Thanks to everyone who leaves genuine comments. The beach is three minutes from the bungalow, the food is excellent, they don’t fight for sun loungers, the staff will come out of their skins for a dollar. If you go to Sinai peninsula, then only at the Hilton Fairows!

Conclusion

If you are going to Sharm el-Sheikh, choose hotels in the Naama Bay area. You will not regret!

Having decided on a hotel, having enjoyed the warm Red Sea and getting a gorgeous bronze tan, it's time to think about spiritual food. There are many places in Sharm el-Sheikh that undoubtedly deserve attention and acquaintance with which will give you a lot of pleasure. Especially for you, we have prepared an article that details the must-see.

For those who prefer time-tested resorts, Naama Bay is a sure option to avoid surprises during your holiday in Egypt. The oldest, and therefore the most comfortable part of Sharm el-Sheikh with countless hotels of all star levels, retail shops, cafes with fragrant hookahs, noisy bars and clubs will easily win the heart of any tourist. And, of course, not a single guest of the resort will pass by the local sandy beaches - they bathe here from pontoons or enter the water directly from the shore - the bottom at the water's edge is cleared of corals. The main pride of Naama Bay is the eponymous walking avenue. Getting to it is easy: if you walk along the waterfront from the Marriott hotel and turn right behind the Movenpick hotel, you will see a busy street sparkling with neon and lanterns. You're at the place.

Transport

From any hotel to the center of Naama Bay, you can rush by free hotel bus. If it was not possible to catch him, a taxi will not ruin either: on average, the trip will cost 70-80 EGP. The only thing is that a taxi back to the hotel will rise in price sharply, you can bargain for 80-100 EGP, the main thing is patience. Prices on the page are for September 2018.

You can use local public transport - blue minibuses constantly run along the highway. The cost is 2-3 EGP per person.

Resorts of Egypt: what are there and what to choose?

Restaurants

If you need to combine a meal with an overview of the beautiful seascapes, the Panorama cafe is what you need. Tasty, there is live music and on weekends there is an oriental performance.

You can eat inexpensively near Gazala by looking at the Tam-Tam oriental cafe, or at opposite side- in the cafe "Makani", in the center of Naama Bay, the restaurant "Dannanier" is famous for its delicious cuisine, where the dish of the day costs 150-180 EGP.

In the Delta Sharm area, 200 meters from the main entrance on the right side, there is a pleasant Pizza Sharm restaurant serving awesome pizza. The price of pizza is 25-35 EGP, seafood dishes cost from 45-60 EGP.

Popular hotels in Naama Bay

The beaches of Naama Bay

In Naama Bay, the beaches are “conditionally sandy”: swimming without special shoes is not possible everywhere, but only in specially cleared areas (usually they are fenced with buoys). There are practically no corals here, they were cut down a few years ago.

As for marine entertainment, the resort pleases with endless sandy beaches, a huge number of water attractions and the only one that boasts a permit for motorized water fun. In the heart of the bay, get ready for the always crowded public beach, and go on a date with the live coral reefs better on the beaches of hotels Hilton Fayrouz, Novotel, Marriott, Sofitel, but they are paid for guests: Public Beach near Hilton Fayrouz - 10 EGP, Delta beach next to Novotel - 30 EGP.

2 things to do in Naama Bay

  1. Fly on a towed parachute over the sea. 10-15 minutes of flight will cost about 90 USD.
  2. Buy a scarab as a souvenir at the Eastern Bazaar, the cost is 50 EGP. Or at least get an original papyrus that has a shelf life of 500 years! The cost of a good papyrus is 200 EGP.

Entertainment and attractions

The life of the main artery of the resort does not stop day or night: trade is brisk in numerous shops, shops and boutiques, chefs of restaurants are working around the clock on stoves, the lights of clubs flicker all night long.

In addition to shops where you should adhere to the only rule - to bargain to the last drop of blood, there are several places on Naama Bay that will be a pleasure to visit. A trip to the oriental bazaar, which is located behind the Le Pasha nightclub (former Bus Stop), will be remembered as especially acute. By the way, currency exchange offices here offer the most favorable rate, but they work only from Sunday to Thursday.

Educational program for beginners.

Everyone has long been accustomed to consider Egypt their second home. How to go to the dacha)) Sometimes standing for five hours in a traffic jam can be much more exciting than flying for five hours in an airplane (where they will also feed us). That's what I thought too, until I met new clients. Capricious, demanding, but understandable - they know what they want, why and how. It is easiest to work with such "concrete" tourists. Much harder with others: "send us somewhere"....??? What is it, somewhere? They themselves do not know what they want, and we have to pull out information in order to understand WHAT exactly customers are motivated to do. Well, okay, these are already working moments.
Today we will talk about Egypt.

My first impression of this country is "I don't go there anymore", seeing from the window of the porthole long, skinny palm trees with a tuft at the top. The night wind ruffled the jacket and nerves. . The sea was pulled by the current to the depth, making it impossible to climb the stairs to the pontoon. Terrible, I'm not used to this.
But during the day ... Stunning blue sea, corals, fish.

Diving..How long ago.

And today I want to remember, and at the same time conduct an educational program lesson for new travelers.
we will talk about the most sought after area of Sharm El Sheikh, Naama Bay.

The Naama Bay area is considered to be the center of Sharm El Sheikh. This is a small bay with many hotels, and a promenade with the same name Naama Bay. And this is the only place in Sharm
El Sheikh with a sandy, gentle entrance to the sea, cleared of corals. Besides
the bay is protected from the winds, which is of no small importance when choosing hotels.
Especially from November to March.
Now let's move on to the main thing:
1. CHOOSE A HOTEL IN NAAMA BAY- carefully look at the map.

gulf
Naama Bay starts at the Sofitel 5* hotel and ends at the Stella hotel
di Mare 5 *, and if you navigate along the 2nd line, then from the Tropicana Garden Palms 4 * hotel to
hotel Edem rock 3*

In Naama Bay, hotels with a small area, especially hotels on the 1st line.
And in most hotels there is no active animation. If you want to have fun - go to Naama Bay street.

Basically, hotels are designed for tourists who will swim in the morning and in the evening
walk. I would like to immediately highlight several hotels: Sofitel 5 *, the only hotel
in Naama Bay, which has several beaches at once (3 coral and 2 sandy).
The hotel itself is of a very good level, but the Russian tourist perceives the HB food (breakfast - dinner) as a personal insult)))
hotels of the Hilton chain - there are two of them: Hilton Fayrouz 4 * (1 line - HB meals),
and Hilton Dreams 5 * (line 2 - all-inclusive meals). These hotels have the most big beach in Naama Bay.
Sonesta Beach 5* (line 1), two hotels of the NOVOTEL chain - NOVOTEL SHARM EL SHEIKH PALM 5* (line 1) and Novotel club 4* (line 2), Cataract Layalina Resort 4* (line 2)

From inexpensive hotels 4 * we want to advise: Tropitel Naama Bay 5 *,
Sonesta club 4*, Helnan Marina 4*, Gufy resort 4*(1 line) , Ghazala Gardens Resort 4

And for dessert, for unpretentious tourists, 3 * hotels - Fantazia 3 * (practically on Naama Bay street) and Eden Rock 3

Why is the Naama Bay area good for relaxing?
As we said, this is:

1.bay, closed
from the winds.

2. Due to the lack of corals, Naama bay is one
of the few places in Sharm El Sheikh where motorized water sports are allowed - bananas,
boats, catamarans, kiting.

3. Within walking distance from any
hotel discotheques, cafes, restaurants, shops and other "hot spots" of the promenade
Naama bey.

4. (note to tourists) From the side of the Iberotel Lido hotel - parking for boats for sea trips. From this side of the bay
There is a taxi rank on the highway. There is a bus station behind the gas station.
station from where regular buses run to Cairo (510 km), Suez, Dahab (100 km),
Taboo (240 km), St. Catherine (240 km). The water park is located behind the Hilton Dreams hotel and is open from 10am.

What to see and where to go in NAAMA BAY:

Naama Bay street conditionally consists of 3 parts: 2 streets "ala - Arbat" and Quay.
The main "hangout" on the first two streets: here are shopping mall in the form of a golden pyramid,
and it has a large and inexpensive supermarket "Carrefour"

Shops "BACHUS" (alcohol shop)

Little Buddha Club (small but stylish club),

Mexican Bar restaurant (price-quality)
Cafes and bars: KFC, Pizza Hat, Baskin robbins i famous
Club-Bar Hard Rock Cafe

and cafe-hookah Bianco

Above the cafe Bianco is a cafe - a panorama.
The panoramic view of the coast is amazing. But the prices will be just as amazing in
cafe. Unreasonably high.

Further, if you go straight, you will come to the embankment. If you turn left, then
continuation of Naama Bay street. The second part of the promenade is the most successful, so
as there are many good and inexpensive cafes with fixed prices.

Embankment
good for continuing the "banquet" with a romantic twist.

Actually
In fact, your vacation depends on your mood. And it doesn't matter which way you
turn.

And we
We will help you not to get lost

wish vivid impressions and have a nice holiday!

Naama Bay - the central area of the resort. Most of it is located in the bay of the same name. Naama Bay is the only one in Sharm, almost completely cleared of corals.

Naama Bay considered the center tourist life. Runs throughout the region pedestrian promenade, with hundreds of cafes, hookahs, bars and nightclubs. Life in Naama begins after sunset and does not stop until the morning.

Map of the Naama Bay Area.

The map clearly shows a large bay, with many hotels and rich infrastructure. We have marked hotels, main bars, shopping malls, cell phone shops and money changers on the map. All our Maps are constantly updated, adding descriptions of places, hotels and shops

On the first line, the area begins with a hotel Hyat regency and ends with a hotel Stella di Mare. If you navigate along the 2nd line, then from the hotel Garden Palms to the hotel Viking club.;

Naama Bay Beaches - Naama Bay

It is located in a well-sheltered bay and is ideal for relaxing in winter time of the year. Beaches in the area sandy with a gentle entry into the sea, few fish and corals. The area near the beaches is not large, the bathing area is fenced with buoys.

There are many boats in the bay(bananas, parachutes, pills). Due to the lack of corals, this is one of the few places where there are water sports.

suitable for families with children and for beginner swimmers and those who are afraid of marine life.

Pictured are the beaches in Naama Bay.

Naama Bay - Pedestrian Promenade - Main Street of the Resort

The main tourist part of the Naama Bay area is its pedestrian promenade. The main entertainment, restaurants and hotels of the area are concentrated here. In the morning, almost everything is closed, except for some shops, cafes and supermarkets. Life begins right after sunset.

Let's walk along the promenade together and we will tell you about the most interesting places.

The pedestrian promenade, with a total length of no more than 3 kilometers, can be divided into three parts:

Promenade 1 part It starts from the main avenue Peace road (Prospect Mira), this place is easily recognizable by the huge congestion of taxi drivers waiting for tourists. On the right, you will immediately see a shopping center in the form of a pyramid - Golden Pyramids, in the same building there is a large supermarket " Car Refour.

Water, cigarettes, drinks, fruits, etc. better to buy here (fixed prices). In the same building, in the form of a pyramid, there is an office Vodafone where you can buy a SIM card with the Internet at a normal price. To the right of the shopping center there is a small shop Dury Free, which you can visit within 48 hours after arrival.

In the photo, the first part of the Naama Bay tourist promenade

At the end of the first street, right behind the TV, you will see fast foods: KFC, Pizza Hut, TGI Fridays, Baskin Robbins and the famous restaurant and night club Hard Rock Cafe.

To date, there are two hard rock cafes in Sharm El Sheikh, the second one is located in the Nabq area. The new Hard Rock is much bigger and prettier, however it is not as popular due to the remoteness of the Nabq area.

Hard Rock Naama Bay in the morning it works as a restaurant where they make delicious burgers, and at night as a disco bar.

If you move further down the street, then on your right there will be a nightclub and a famous cafe - Panorama from which you can see the entire promenade. Prices in Panorama are twice as expensive as other cafes.

Panorama Cafe Naama Bay view from Panorama Cafe

Little Buddha night club not big but stylish club in the very center. Until the evening Little Buddha works as a restaurant and sushi bar, after 11 pm as a nightclub. The club is built on two floors, on the first a restaurant and on the second a bar and a night club.

Nightclub and restaurant Little Budha — Photo of the institution.

Second part of the street starts when the promenade turns left. It is more calm here, you are practically not pulled and not bothered. There is a famous night club on this part of the street. PACHA, numerous hookahs, a large round shopping center, several supermarkets, McDonald's.

third part of the region it will not be difficult to find - this is a sea promenade, it runs along the beaches of hotels. In the evenings, live music plays in the hotel restaurants, quiet hookah cafes work.

Sinai Grand Casino - The most beautiful casino in Sharma

For lovers of gambling, the doors of the Sinai Grand casino are open. This is the most beautiful and largest casino in Sharm El Sheikh. For beginners, one-armed bandit machines are suitable, which can be played for a long time even with a small budget. Advanced players will be able to play roulette or poker tables. Entrance to the casino is carried out with a passport.

Summing up: Naama Bay is suitable for relaxation first of all active tourists who love noisy evenings, nightclubs. It will appeal to those who like a gentle entry into the sea or for families with children. Those who like to swim with masks and snorkels are more suitable for the Hadaba or Sharks Bay area.

Everything at your fingertips: before the main promenade of Naama Bay you can walk from any hotel (discotheques, cafes, restaurants, shops, and so on).

I pestered a lot in Naama, sellers of excursions and aquatic species sports. Unfortunately, this is the worst side of the area, annoying sellers and barkers will not let you calmly walk along the street.
