Kiseleva Rock is the most legendary natural monument in Tuapse. Diving near natural beauties

This calling card Tuapse can be called a wonderful natural landmark, which is located just three kilometers from the city towards the village of Agoy. This is a steep cliff, fifty meters high in the form of a vertical wall right next to the water on the seashore, which is called the Kiselyov rock.

An ancient Adyghe legend is connected with this rock.

The young horseman Dysheek, proud, hot, courageous, but very poor, fell in love and opened his heart to a beautiful Adyghe girl, whose name was Guash. She was from a local wealthy family, so there was no end to rich suitors. The girl fell in love with the young groom Dysheek and asked her father to bless them. However, the father was categorically against the wedding. He locked his daughter under seven locks and began to woo her an elderly, but very rich groom. Then the girl decided to run away from home. She sent a message to her lover and made an appointment for him at midnight on the top of the rock. Guash got out of captivity and began to wait for her betrothed on a rock. Having received the letter, the dzhigit in love saddled his horse and flew towards his love. However, a chase of two dozen horsemen was launched after him with the task of "finding him and detaining him by any means." He did not calculate the speed of Dysheek, flew out onto a rock and shouted: “Gouache!” - fell off her right into the depths of the sea. Guash grieved for a long time at the cliff, shedding tears, she could not live without her beloved and rushed after him. In general, as the character of the famous film says: "Everyone died." Since then, sometimes this cliff is called the "Rock of Tears", and at night sad girlish songs are heard here. This sad Adyghe legend was passed down from generation to generation, and today not one excursion to the Kiselyov rock is complete without it.

The smooth vertical facade of the rock facing the sea has not changed for many years.

You can get to the Kiselev rock from Tuapse, following directly along the seashore, or from the side of the village of Agoy. You can drive from Tuapse by car, but still you can’t avoid walking through the forest and descent.

The proof is the famous painting, created back in 1902 by the itinerant artist Kiselyov “Kadosh Rocks”, which depicts this rock. A unique natural phenomenon surrounds the protected forest park "Kadosh" with a magnificent virgin forest, in which there are more than twenty species of trees, many different types of shrubs, wild orchids, lianas. The top of the cliff is decorated with sprawling Pitsunda pines. It has its own unique atmosphere. Green needles of pine trees, mosaic motley pebbles playing in the sun, pink shells among the stones, a pungent smell of brown algae thrown ashore by the waves, transparent sea water, the alluring blue of the horizon, where the sea connects with the sky - all this intoxicates and makes you come back here again and again. After all, it was not in vain that Kiselyov at one time built a gazebo on the top of the rock, in which he worked with inspiration on his canvases. Filmmakers also liked this place. It was the Kiselyov rock and the pebble beach under it that became the nature of the episode of the film "The Diamond Hand", where the main characters came to go fishing, which turned out to be successful for some, and not very good for others. And the boy, who walked on the water with a halo and was perceived by the hero of the film as a divine presence, actually moved along the reefs. They literally dotted the local waters.

Cape Kadosh is indeed unique place and the rock on it is a real gem. After visiting this natural monument you should look into the Tuapse house-museum of A.A. Kiselev, where you can admire its landscapes and learn more about this rock.

Kiseleva Rock is rightfully the hallmark of the city of Tuapse. It rises 46 meters above it, representing an almost sheer stone block - an amazing creation of nature. There is also an ancient Adyghe legend about the rock: she used to live here beautiful girl named Guash. Her father was rich, owned almost the entire coast, and all the factories belonged to him. But the girl did not like any of the rich suitors: the proud and impregnable beauty rejected everyone. All but one handsome guy. The problem was that he was a groom.

The girl told her father about her intention. He was so disappointed in her that, as a result, he locked the girl up, and in return he betrothed her a new groom, of course, very rich. The girl refused to marry a 70-year-old Circassian. And in the end, the groom-groom appointed a meeting on the rock of Kiselyov: at midnight the horseman galloped here, Guash came too, only now the chase was chasing his beloved. Because right off the cliff, he jumped into the abyss of 46 meters. Guash could not stand it, shed many bitter tears - and eventually followed him ...

This is the legend that explains the name of the rock: the Rock of Tears.

Kiseleva Rock is rightfully the hallmark of the city of Tuapse. It rises 46 meters above it, representing an almost sheer stone block - an amazing creation of nature.

The second name - Kiseleva - arose in honor of the artist of the same name, who immortalized this sheer rock in his paintings. On Cape Kadosh, you can also find the artist's dwelling.

And this 46-meter rock, as if cut off from one edge, was lit up in the famous Soviet film "The Diamond Arm". It is here that Andrei Mironov is surrounded by a halo of holiness, a young boy who literally walks on water. The role of the boy was Nikulin's son - and, unusually, this is his only film role.

You can get to the Kiseleva rock from the beach with mysterious name Spider. You have to walk along large boulders, and the walk itself will take about 40 minutes. Usually, there are fewer tourists here in the low season, and from a steep cliff there is an excellent view of the entire coast. Those wishing to swim are lucky - near this natural monument there is a tiny beach where tourists like to put up tents. From a distance, the Kiseleva rock does not seem so big.

Near resort town Tuapse along the Black Sea is located forest park Kadosh. The forest park covers an area of 300 hectares and is a natural monument with a protected area. A variety of flora grows on the hilly terrain, including plants listed in the Red Book. Oak, chestnut, maple, pine, beech, yew grow here, there are rare species of orchids and lianas. The most popular attraction of the forest park Kadosh is the Kiseleva rock, on which the rock layers are located vertically. The rock got its name in honor of the Russian landscape painter Alexander Alexandrovich Kiselev, who captured it in his paintings.

ABOUT walking route from Tuapse to the Kiselev rock through the Kadosh microdistrict, we will tell you more. Getting to the Kadosh microdistrict is not difficult: from Central Square Tuapse we go along Primorsky Boulevard towards the nearest hills in the western direction. The railway track serves as a reference point, it is difficult to get lost, and this road is very busy. Bus route number 18 passes here, which can take you to the Kiseleva Rock stop if you decide to shorten the walking route.

Passing Primorsky Boulevard, we go further along Maxim Gorky Street, and then along Frunze Street to the pedestrian bridge over the Spider River. Behind footbridge the most interesting part of the route begins.

We cross the bridge over the Spider and go along the right bank of the river up 300 meters to the first five-story building, after which we climb the stairs to the next level. Then we go left through the garages and exit to the iron stairs leading to the top of the hill. It is impossible to navigate here, navigators do not draw the road, and the local architecture is so chaotic that almost every turn is a dead end or rise, after which there is a dead end or another rise. You won’t get lost, but you’ll have to get lost, so it’s better to just ask local residents where the stairs to the top they will show you.

The staircase in the Kadosh microdistrict also serves as a wonderful viewing platform. Having climbed a little higher, you can see the whole city: the seaport, ships, embankment, tower.

After an interesting climb up the stairs through the forest, the boring part of the route along the asphalt road begins. On the road, go 3 kilometers to a fork in the Kiseleva rock. In order not to miss the turn, it is better to use the navigator. After leaving the paved road, you have to walk another 500 meters through the forest towards the sea in order to be on the very edge of the cliff. The path from the cliff in the gorge is quite steep, so you should be careful and careful when descending. You'll have to puff, but the effort will be rewarded. In summer there are always a lot of tourists here. There is a campsite near the road, and the entire coast is busy with tourists. And how wonderful it is to be here in the spring, when there is a unique opportunity to listen to the sound of the sea, which whispers to you alone.

Kiseleva Rock is 46 meters high, which is the height of a 15-storey building. Therefore, once on top of the cliff and looking down, the head begins to spin, and the legs give way. Open space and a steep slope turn the usual 46 meters into adrenaline. Looking at this riot of elements, one remembers that it was here that the episode with fishing from the famous comedy by Leonid Gaidai "The Diamond Arm" was filmed.
On the Kiselev rock there is a small Observation deck from where the breathtaking view opens. It is definitely worth visiting and replenishing your collection of impressions that will warm you on cold winter evenings.

The route from Tuapse to the Kiselev rock and back takes about 5 hours. The distance from the seaport to the Kiselev rock is 6 kilometers. The road is not difficult, but it cannot be called easy either. We can only say with confidence that the impressions of natural architecture will smooth out all the difficulties of the path.

Entrance to the campsite

The campsite is located in a very picturesque place, right at the foot, or rather, it is worth clarifying that the tents are scattered in different places, for example, everyone puts cars here (you can’t move down below), many immediately put up tents, and go down to the sea.

If you go a little lower, along the trodden path, then you will find yourself at such a “fork” that leads to the rock itself, and 2 descents to the sea. The right one is steeper, there is even a rope hanging there to facilitate the ascent and descent, and therefore there are much fewer tents there.

It is better, of course, to go left and put up a tent right on the shore:

It should be borne in mind that the descent to the sea is steep and if you want to go down to the sea at night, then this is possible only with a lantern and you still need to be careful.
Here is such a staircase that will lead you directly to the beach

On the beach there is a warning that swimming is prohibited, due to the fact that people drowned. But, of course, everyone swims, while I want to emphasize that the bottom in this place is peculiar, you can swim 20-30 meters and rest against the stones, which you can climb to your full height and the water will not even reach your knee. Actually in the photographs taken from the rock itself, in this description it is clearly visible by the color of the water.

Here, look at these people

Camping cost

We were charged 300 rubles per night for a car “with all the people” (mid-August 2014), and the seller asked if it was normal. There was a feeling that bargaining was appropriate in that dialogue. But they no longer began to bargain, because. wanted to spread out and see the beauty.

Pros:

  • you can put up a tent right by the sea;
  • Very beautiful place, Kiselyov's rock will not leave you indifferent;
  • in principle, not a difficult entrance;
  • not expensive camping;

Minuses:

  • not a simple descent to the sea (it’s not necessary to go there to set up a tent, but you’ll want to swim. I’ll clarify, it’s not a simple concept that is very subjective and someone will fly by and not notice, but someone will make an effort, but you need to be prepared for the fact that it may be uncomfortable for someone to go down);
  • dirty, alas, but in August there is a lot of dirt = (If you look, even in the photographs you can see heaps of garbage (hello to the pigs who cannot take out a bag of garbage). But the dirt is not only from the garbage, below, the sea has problems with the toilet, the fact is that the toilet is organized at the top, naturally no one goes upstairs, because a small stream of the hand, right next to the stairs, turned into a toilet. The garbage and the problem with the toilet spoiled the overall impression a little;
