LAZER P-996
Interestingly, the speed of the P-996 in the game is greatly reduced compared to the real-life prototype. So, the F16 can reach 2000 km / h, almost 10 times more than the P-996. This is due to the small size of the map and the speed of its generation. When moving around the world of GTA 5 at such a breakneck speed, not a single super-computer would have time to generate content!
As for the combat equipment of the P-996, everything is in order with the fighter. It is equipped with two classic cannons that can fire without reloading, as well as homing missiles, which, however, sometimes miss the target. The armament is so powerful that two direct hits on the tank are enough to destroy it. By the way, the tank is better to attack vertically from above - in this case, he is not able to direct the turret at you and strike back.

Hydra in GTA 5
According to the plans of the developers, Hydra was supposed to appear in the original version of GTA 5. It appeared in two trailers released on the eve of the release. What was the general surprise when the fighter, already beloved by San Andreas, was not in the game. The developers did not give any explanation for such an incomprehensible disappearance. We can only assume that they saved this military aircraft for later game expansions, adding a little intrigue along the way (how they love it!). Subsequent events showed that most likely this was actually the case: after the release of the Heists add-on to GTA Online, the same Hydra appeared in multiplayer, and now each player can personally fly the legendary fighter.
The prototype of the Hydra is the British military aircraft Harrier II with a vertical take-off system and an anti-missile system. The same "chips" were inherited by Hydra. The only difference is that the real prototype has a machine gun, which is not in the game. The Hydra slightly overtakes the LAZER P-996 in maximum speed, and therefore can be considered the fastest vehicle throughout the game! At the same time, it is slightly heavier, and therefore inferior to the combat aircraft described above in terms of maneuverability and acceleration. The fighter is equipped with two guns:

It is also worth noting the defense system of this aircraft. At the right moment, he is able to release a cloud that deflects homing missiles fired at a fighter from the target. Unfortunately, the protection does not work in case of a shot from a conventional grenade launcher.
How to control the Hydra in GTA 5
Driving a hydra in GTA 5 is very difficult and can quickly lead to death :) Firstly, the controls are really unusual and you need to get used to it. How to steal a fighter in GTA 5
There is an easy way to get a fighter during the "Fair Game" mission. After Cletus sends Trevor to retrieve the moose, the player can enter the territory of Fort Zancudo without being declared wanted. After that, you can freely steal a fighter and hide it at the airfield in Sandy Shores. Then you can finish the mission, and the fighter will be saved at Trevor's airfield. During the mission you can not kill anyone, otherwise the mission will fail.
Another way to hijack a fighter is to parachute into the military base (Fort Zancudo) and try to land right in the hangar with the plane. The closer you land to the fighter, the greater your chance of escaping safely, as the base will immediately be alerted. Code for a fighter in GTA 5

In this case, it is better not to try to continue landing, but to go for another circle, otherwise you risk crashing.

As in San Andreas, Shamal is available from the very beginning of the game at the main airport of the city. The aircraft turned out to be very multi-tasking and can be used for almost any activity. 6 Buckingham Luxor
