Settlement Sverdlovsk lies on the Klyazma River, 9 kilometers east of the Shchelkovo district center. 4 kilometers south of the village passes Grand Ring MZD. Sverdlovsk has transport connection with Moscow, Shchyolkovo, Monino and Losino-Petrovsky.

Story

The old name of the village is Gorodishchi. Under this name, it is first found in written sources - the Scribal Books of the 1570s. Initially, Gorodischi was mentioned as a wasteland, then a village, then a village and it was an owner's settlement. Before the revolution, Gorodishchi was part of the Bogorodsk district.

The factory of the Chetverikov brothers contributed to the development of the settlement. Founded in 1831, it was located near Gorodischi and specialized in the production of drape fabrics. After the nationalization of the enterprise by the Bolsheviks, the factory was named after the revolutionary Yakov Sverdlov. In 1928 Gorodishchi and the factory settlement were merged under the name Sverdlovsky and given the status of an urban-type settlement.

The factory is still working today, having fine-cloth specialization. In Soviet times, plant No. 5 named after Dzerzhinsky worked in the village, producing wiring accessories. Since the beginning of the 21st century, the village has been considered as a promising site for residential construction.

Attractions

in Sverdlovsk noble estate"Lukino-Varino" of the 19th century. Once it belonged to the statesman Sergei Lansky, under whom the main manor buildings were erected and the park was laid. Subsequently, a labor colony named after Dzerzhinsky was located in Lukino-Varino, where homeless children were kept. The park and the manor house survived from the estate.

Going to Sverdlovsk, I did not know anything about the estate located there.
And then I could not find anything about her on the Internet.

All information - from the words of a local resident, who kindly told me that she knew

The urban-type settlement of Sverdlovsky is located a few kilometers east of Shchelkovo, on the Klyazma River. It grew out of a factory settlement at a textile factory founded in the village of Gorodishchi by the Chetverikovs, merchants who emerged as nobles in the middle of the 19th century.

Here, in Gorodishchi, the Chetverikovs built a manor.
The best-preserved main house in the neoclassical style, standing on the high bank of the Klyazma.

now there is a private school here.

Once upon a time, ponds were arranged on the banks of the Klyazma, to which an alley lined with lindens descended.
Now this is the view from the porch of the main house.

An extension on the right side, from the yard - it looks like it was once a summer garden.

On the other side is a one-story outbuilding.

It is connected to the main building by a small arcuate covered gallery.

To cover both the main house and the outbuilding from this side, I had to glue two frames

Wall paintings for children

Let's take another look at the estate from the yard

And, having crossed the road, we turn to another manor house - or rather, to what is left of it.

What was in it initially, the local resident found it difficult to answer exactly. It seems like it was built for himself by the brother of the eldest of the Chetverikov brothers, whose house we have already seen.

Under Soviet rule, there was a school here that fell into disrepair not in the remote nineties, but even earlier, when a new school was built in the village.

Now the building is a complete ruin.

…and from within

it can be seen that the house had powerful cellars

That's all for now about the main attraction of Sverdlovsk.
In good time there will be factory buildings and Soviet buildings - also not without interest.

PS. If anyone else knows anything about this estate, write - I will add or correct the text with gratitude.
