Organized trips. Business on the organization of individual travel

When a few years ago my sister (two of our families) and I decided to go to Koktebel, my sister first of all went to the nearest travel agency for a ticket (it was easier for her).

There she was picked up a ticket with a rest in one boarding house, but they offered strict terms of stay in it: either 6 days or 12 days. And we wanted to go for 9-10 days.

I myself found this boarding house on the Internet, found out the prices and the phone number. We contacted the owner of this establishment by phone and found out that places can be booked for any period (only in advance). So they did. We ordered (for those days that we needed), bought a train ticket ourselves, drove ourselves and rested ourselves.

After that, I thought: “But the khan will be the whole tourism business if everyone arranges their own vacation via the Internet.”

And this is partly true. Over the past few years, several travel companies. And those that remain survive by organizing budget trips such as a two-week trip to the Crimea by bus and back for 12 thousand rubles (my husband traveled on such a ticket this year). Participants of this journey were collected throughout Nizhny Novgorod region(the bus traveled from Nizhny Novgorod, stopping at all cities, picking up travelers from other cities).

It is very difficult to organize such a trip - so that it comes out inexpensively and in an organized way. It is necessary to adjust both transport and housing to fit your needs. Without a certain experience in this matter, it is quite difficult (if you order housing, you won’t buy a train ticket; or you buy a train ticket, but you won’t pick up housing by a certain date; I once had to buy a private house in Crimea for a month, because the hostess did not want to rent it for two weeks in mid-August, and I desperately needed this particular house, because only it had both a bathroom and the Internet, and it was in mid-August, because I was going to Crimea for a certain event).

A travel company has recently opened in Belarus, which is just organizing individual trips based on the wishes and requests of travelers - openeurope.by. Moreover, offering significant savings thanks to their knowledge and connections:

This is what the modern traveler needs. Not a ready-made tour, in which you will be forced to rest as intended by the ticket. And help in organizing an individual trip.

(I once wanted to go to Europe like this, but without all these tedious bus excursions, I just wanted to walk around a foreign city, but I didn’t find such a “free” voucher, not tied to terms and dates and without excursions. At the same time, I didn’t dare to organize such a trip on my own - I have no experience of traveling around Europe, and I don’t know languages.)

There are several similar travel agencies in Russia (traditional travel agencies have separate services), but there are still few of them.

And it seems to me that it is precisely such travel agencies for individual travel that should take the place of bankrupt travel agencies that are accustomed to mass sales of the same type of vouchers, which is why they experienced great difficulties when the interests of Russian citizens changed dramatically.

Of course, adapting to each individual tourist is more difficult than selling tours to everyone at once. But now and the time is such that requires an individual approach to each client.

If you don’t change to meet the demands of the time, you will lose.

Good afternoon, dear reader.

Innovations affect the features of the transportation of groups of children. First of all, this information is intended for the staff of child care facilities, as well as drivers of travel companies involved in the transportation of minor children.

The concept of organized transportation of a group of children

Since July 10, 2015, the concept of "Organized transportation of a group of children" has been changed in the traffic rules:

"Organized transportation of a group of children" - organized transportation of eight or more children in a bus that is not a shuttle vehicle.

"Organized transportation of a group of children" - transportation in a bus, not related to a shuttle vehicle, of a group of children of 8 or more people, carried out without their legal representatives, except in the case when the legal representative (s) is (are) an appointed accompanying person (s) or a designated medical worker.

As before, organized transportation has the following features:

  • the children are on the bus;
  • the bus is not public transport;
  • the number of children is 8 or more.

A new sign of organized transportation. It is carried out without legal representatives of children. Let me remind you that the legal representatives of the child are parents, adoptive parents, trustees or guardians.

So if children and their parents are traveling on a bus, for example, a sightseeing bus, this is not an organized transportation of children and the rules of organized transportation do not apply to this case.

However, there are situations when, even with the presence of legal representatives, the transportation is organized. For example, there are 8 children on the bus. The parents of one of the children act as an accompanying person. Transportation in this case is organized and requires compliance with the rules.

Accompanying children by traffic police car

First of all, the changes affected the list of documents required for the organized transportation of a group of children:

c) the decision to appoint the escort of buses by a car (cars) of the subdivision of the State Inspectorate for Road Safety of the territorial body of the Ministry of Internal Affairs Russian Federation(hereinafter referred to as the subdivision of the State traffic inspectorate) or a notification of a negative decision based on the results of consideration of an application for such escort;

c) a copy of the decision to appoint the escort of buses by a car (cars) of a subdivision of the State Inspectorate for Road Safety of a territorial body of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation (hereinafter referred to as the subdivision of the State Traffic Inspectorate) or a copy of the notification of the organized transportation of a group of children;

Until July 10, 2015, the original decision on the appointment of an escort or the original refusal of escort was required for the transportation of children. Starting from July 10, a copy of the decision on the appointment of escort or a copy of the traffic police notification is required.

Consider the related clause of the carriage rules:

10. The head or official responsible for ensuring road safety, the organization, and in the case of organized transportation of a group of children under a charter agreement, the charterer or charterer (by mutual agreement) ensures that an application is submitted in the prescribed manner for escorting buses by cars of the State traffic inspectorate unit.

10. The head or official responsible for ensuring road safety, organizations, and in the case of organized transportation of a group of children under a charter agreement - the charterer or charterer (by mutual agreement) shall ensure, in accordance with the procedure established by the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation, that a notification is submitted about the organized transportation of a group of children to the division of the State traffic inspectorate in the event that the organized transportation of a group of children is carried out by one or two buses, or applications for escort by cars of the division of the State traffic inspectorate of convoys in the event that the specified transportation is carried out in at least 3 buses.

Submission of a notice of organized transportation of a group of children to the subdivision of the State traffic inspectorate is carried out no later than 2 days before the day the transportation begins.

Until July 10, 2015, the head of the group had to submit an application to the traffic police for escorting buses with traffic police cars.

Starting July 10 application for support applied only if the transportation is carried out by three or more buses. In this case, the traffic police sends an escort car.

If the children are traveling in one or two buses, then another document is submitted to the traffic police - notice of organized transportation of a group of children. In this case, the escort car is not allocated.

Documents are submitted no later than 2 days before the start of the trip.

Attention! The deadline for filing a notification with the traffic police has been changed from October 1, 2019. It is 24 hours for urban and suburban travel and 48 hours for intercity travel. This issue is discussed in .

In any case, the team leader must carry either a copy of the escort request or a copy of the organized transport notice.

Documents for organized transportation of children

d) set list food products(dry rations, bottled water) according to the assortment established by the Federal Service for Supervision of Consumer Rights Protection and Human Welfare or its territorial office, in the case provided for in paragraph 17 of these Rules;

d) a list of a set of food products (dry rations, bottled water);

Starting July 10, 2015, when transporting children, a list of food kits must be available. Previously, such a list was required only if the estimated travel time was more than 3 hours.

Requirements for drivers carrying children

8. To drive buses carrying out organized transportation of a group of children, drivers are allowed who have continuous work experience as a driver of a category "D" vehicle for at least 1 year and who have not been subjected to last year administrative punishment in the form of deprivation of the right to drive a vehicle or administrative arrest for committing an administrative offense in the field of traffic.

8. Drivers meeting the following requirements are allowed to drive buses carrying out organized transportation of a group of children:

  • having work experience as a driver of a category "D" vehicle for at least one year out of the last 3 calendar years;
  • who have not committed administrative offenses in the field of traffic, for which an administrative penalty is provided in the form of deprivation of the right to drive a vehicle or administrative arrest, during the last year;
  • who have passed a pre-trip briefing on the safety of transportation of children in accordance with the rules for ensuring the safety of transportation of passengers and goods by car and urban ground electric transport, approved by the Ministry of Transport of the Russian Federation;
  • who have passed a pre-trip medical examination in accordance with the procedure established by the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation.

As before, drivers who carry out organized transportation of children should not have penalties in the form of deprivation of their rights or administrative arrest during the last year.

Until 10 July 2015, drivers also had to have uninterrupted driving experience as a category D driver within the last year. This requirement becomes more loyal to drivers. Starting from July 10, it is enough to have one year of experience out of the last three years.

For example, the following situation could have happened earlier. A person has been working as a category D driver all his life. However, half a year ago he switched to new job(also a driver). During the change of workplace, the experience was interrupted for 1 day. Until July 10, 2015, such a driver was not allowed to organize transportation of children. After July 10, there is no such restriction.

  • Passing a pre-trip briefing on the safety of transporting children.
  • Passage.

Situations in which a health worker is required

12. In case of organized transportation of a group of children in long-distance traffic by an organized transport column for more than 3 hours according to the traffic schedule, the head or official responsible for ensuring road safety, organization, and in case of organized transportation of a group of children under a chartering agreement, the charterer or charterer (by mutual agreement) shall ensure that such a group of children is accompanied by a medical worker.

12. In case of organized transportation of a group of children in long-distance traffic by an organized transport convoy for more than 12 hours according to the traffic schedule, the head or official responsible for ensuring road safety, the organization, and in the case of organized transportation of a group of children under a charter agreement, the charterer or charterer (by mutual agreement) shall ensure that such a group of children is accompanied by a medical worker.

Previously, a medical worker was required for transportation, the estimated duration of which exceeds 3 hours. Starting from July 10, a doctor is needed when transporting children only on trips whose duration is exceeds 12 hours.

This requirement has made travel arrangements easier. Many day trips for children can now be dispensed with without a medical professional.

Admission to the bus transporting children

A new paragraph has been added to the rules for organized transportation of children:

18. In the case of organized transportation of a group of children by buses, it is prohibited to allow on the bus and (or) carry in it persons not included in the lists provided for in subparagraph "e" of paragraph 4 of these Rules, except for the appointed medical worker. This prohibition does not apply to cases established by federal laws.

Only persons included in the list of accompanying persons or the list of children can be allowed on the bus.

For example, parents of one of the children not included in the preliminary list will not be allowed on the bus. Also, additional children cannot be placed on the bus.

However, the organizer always has the opportunity to add to the list of people who need to be taken on a trip.

Requirements for buses carrying out organized transportation of children

The latest change in the rules for transporting children today:

3. For the organized transportation of a group of children, a bus is used that meets the technical requirements for the transportation of passengers in terms of purpose and design, is allowed to participate in road traffic in the prescribed manner and is equipped in the prescribed manner with a tachograph, as well as GLONASS or GLONASS / GPS satellite navigation equipment.

3. For the implementation of organized transportation of a group of children, a bus is used, less than 10 years have passed from the year of issue, which meets the technical requirements for the carriage of passengers in terms of purpose and design, is allowed to participate in road traffic in the prescribed manner and is equipped in the prescribed manner with a tachograph, as well as GLONASS or GLONASS / GPS satellite navigation equipment.

The transfer is due to the fact that many organizations have not yet had time to renew their fleet of buses. The remaining requirements for buses are effective from July 1, 2015.

Attention! Since October 1, 2019, an additional requirement has been introduced that the bus must be equipped with seat belts. This issue is discussed in .

This concludes the review of the updated traffic rules and the rules for the organized transportation of children. discussed in a separate article.

Good luck on the roads!

In the described situation, parents can act as accompanying persons, the number allows. You are not required to take the deputy director of the school on the bus, the law does not require this.

Good luck on the roads!

Natalia, Hello.

In this case, 2 notifications should be submitted. The second notification should be submitted to the traffic police at the place where the second transportation began, i.e. in the traffic police of another city. You can do this through the traffic police website, instructions are given in.

Good luck on the roads!

Hello, is it allowed in school bus transporting child athletes to competitions (in the region) transportation of skis, because skis are hand luggage?

Good day. We are planning a trip with children to another city. We will book a bus. Each child will be accompanied by their legal representative. There are 24 children and 24 adults in total. Do you need a traffic police escort? If yes, who should report the trip? Bus carrier or customer? Distance 450 km

We are going with a children's group to Belarus from a travel agency, 30 children + 4 teachers. Is it necessary to draw up documents with a notary if there is a written consent from the parents for each child?

It's no secret that every day the rules for transporting children's groups are getting tougher and tougher. And this is true, because the most important thing for any parent is the safety of his child.

If you have gathered a group in which there are more than 8 children without legal representatives, then you need to be guided by the rules for the organized transportation of a group of children.

But before those who are faced with the fact that they need to order a bus for schoolchildren for the first time, there are many questions:

  • What are the regulations governing the carriage of children?
  • Where to find good transport that meets the requirements of the government's ordinance on child transportation?
  • What documents do I need to present to the school administration in order to be allowed to travel?
  • How to notify the traffic police that the trip will take place?

Let's try to figure it out together!

The rules for children's transportation are regulated by Decree of the Government of the Russian Federation No. 1177, which includes transport requirements.

Not all transport companies have buses in their fleet equipped with everything necessary for children's transportation, namely:

  • Tachograph, as well as GLONASS or GLONASS/GPS satellite navigation equipment.
  • identification marks "Children"
  • a sign indicating the permitted speed of 60 km/h
  • flashing beacon yellow or orange
  • seat belts
  • two first aid kits (car)
  • two wheel chocks
  • two easily removable fire extinguishers

Travel agency "On Seven Hills" has been in the tourism market for 18 years. During this time, we have been able to conclude agreements with some of the leading transport companies that have buses in their fleets equipped with everything necessary for school trips.

If the excursion is conducted during school hours, then an order of the director on organizing a trip (excursion) should be prepared, a safety briefing should be given, a written consent of the parents (legal representatives) to participate in the event (consent) should be obtained, in some cases, an examination of the students by the payroll for their admission to participate in the event is organized together with the medical worker of the educational institution. Often, before signing an order, the school management requests a bunch of documents from the transport company, such as: a driver’s license, a license to transport passengers, an agreement for the installation of GLONASS equipment, a policy of compulsory insurance of civil liability of vehicle owners, an agreement on compulsory insurance of the carrier’s civil liability for causing harm to life, health, property of passengers, a bus diagnostic card, etc., to make sure that the driver and the bus meet all the requirements. However, in reality, they thereby duplicate the work of the traffic police. Since 2017, notifications have been submitted using a special service on the website of the state traffic inspectorate. There, in a convenient form, the data of the carrier, driver and bus are indicated. The notification is considered by the traffic police department corresponding to the beginning of the trip, and the applicant receives an answer with approval by mail. In addition, not a single transport company will take the risk of paying a fine of 100 thousand rubles because of one trip that was not carried out according to the rules.

RESPONSIBILITY FOR COMPLIANCE WITH THE RULES OF ORGANIZED TRANSPORTATION OF GROUPS OF CHILDREN ALWAYS RESPONSES TO THE CARRIER!

Apart from notifications, which must indicate the identification number assigned to it, with you on the trip in printed form should be:

  • traffic schedule;
  • Chartering agreement concluded by the customer and the transport company in writing;
  • List of assigned escorts (indicating the last name, first name, patronymic of each escort, his phone number);
  • List of children (indicating the last name, first name, patronymic, age and telephone number of the legal representative of each child);
  • , containing the procedure for boarding children on the bus;
  • seating plan;
  • A schedule of movement, including the estimated time of transportation, indicating the places and times of stops for rest and food, and a route scheme.

If children are on the way according to the traffic schedule for more than 3 hours

  • List of a set of food products (dry rations, bottled water) according to assortment established by the Federal Service for Supervision of Consumer Rights Protection and Human Welfare or its territorial office

In case of organized transportation of a group of children in long-distance traffic by an organized transport column for more than 12 hours

  • A document containing information about the medical worker (last name, first name, patronymic, position), a copy of a license to carry out medical activities or a copy of an agreement with a medical organization or individual entrepreneur with the appropriate license.

In the case of organized transportation of groups of children by transport convoys, which include more than 3 buses, it is provided for escort by a car of the state traffic inspectorate. And if the number of buses is more than 10, the traffic police is obliged to provide a second car that closes the column.

  • The decision on the appointment of escort buses by car(cars) of a subdivision of the State Road Safety Inspectorate of a territorial body of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation or a notification of a negative decision based on the results of consideration of an application for such escort.

A few more rules for organizing child transportation that you need to know:

  • Throughout the route, children should occupy only the places assigned to them during the initial boarding of the bus (According to the seating plan);
  • According to clause 3 of the rules approved by Decree of the Government of the Russian Federation 1177, for the organized transportation of a group of children, a bus is used, from the year of manufacture of which no more than 10 years have passed, which meets the technical requirements for passenger transportation in terms of purpose and design, and is allowed to participate in road traffic in the prescribed manner. It is worth noting that the REQUIREMENTS OF POINT 3 OF THE RULES APPROVED BY THE REGULATION OF THE GOVERNMENT OF THE RUSSIAN FEDERATION 1177, IN PART CONCERNING THE REQUIREMENTS FOR THE YEAR OF PRODUCTION OF THE BUS, DO NOT APPLY UNTIL JUNE 30, 2020;
  • Transportation of children on buses is carried out during daylight hours. It is forbidden to transport children's groups at night without special permission. At night (from 11 p.m. to 6 a.m.), organized transportation of a group of children to railway stations, airports and from them, the completion of the organized transportation of a group of children (delivery to the final destination, determined by the traffic schedule, or to the place of overnight stay) in case of an unplanned deviation from the traffic schedule (due to a delay on the way), as well as the organized transportation of a group of children, carried out on the basis of legal acts of the highest executive bodies of state power of the constituent entities of the Russian Federation. In this case, after 23 hours, the distance of transportation should not exceed 100 kilometers.

The text of the Decree of the Government of the Russian Federation No. 1177 of December 17, 2013 “On approval of the Rules for the organized transportation of a group of children by buses” (as amended on August 08, 2018 N 925) You can read

From Rostourism. In 2014, which is associated with the beginning of the crisis, 42,921 tourist trips abroad were registered among Russian citizens. In 2017 - 39,629.

Yes, there is definitely a downward trend. But 7 or even 8 percent is not the figure that can "kill" the market. People travel, and in the TOP-20 for 2017 there are Germany, Israel, Italy - countries with far from the lowest prices.

If so, where are the clients?

Many travel companies arose in the first decade after the collapse of the USSR. At that time, people who had just collapsed the "Iron Curtain" were enough to simply hand over a plane ticket and a hotel reservation, and that's it. The person is happy. He has escaped to see the world and can tell his friends how it is abroad.

Time has passed, and now the bulk of potential customers for the tourism business are children of the 80s and 90s. With a different worldview, more free and independent.

They do not want to lie belly up on the beaches of Antalya. Unless once a year, when you need to "walk" parents and a small child. And they don't want to crowd with dozens at all strangers around the next cathedral or monument. It is they who can organize their own vacation via the Internet, without intermediaries.

What do they want? Bright, juicy impressions that are difficult to get on your own. Flight to hot-air balloon over Cappadocia. Walk through the "secret" courtyards of Istanbul. A trip to the "Hobbit Village" in New Zealand. Participation in national holiday. They want to realize their dreams and sparkle with beautiful photos on social networks.

Conclusion: the market is changing, and we need to change with it.

Promising niches for the next few years

Here we come to the main point. You can talk as much as you like about how the world is changing, but where to run? What can be done to attract the current generation of tourists who are hungry for variety and experiences?

First of all, move from standard solutions to unique ones. Develop your own routes, establish relationships with new format tour operators, collaborate with private guides.

And most importantly, treat the tourism business as creativity, and not as a craft. Creativity is in fashion today - in the broadest sense of the word.

Here are some examples of fertile niches:

  • Organization individual tours. People who have money don't want to travel like everyone else. Give them the opportunity to book a tour with the most flexible conditions, without standard solutions. This niche is already beginning to be explored by large tour operators, such as TUI and PAC. They organize trips on individual requests to almost any country in the world, without reference to ready-made "packages". There are also small private companies like White Label Travel, which specializes in the premium segment. But this part of the tourism market can still accommodate many companies.
  • Organization of thematic tours. Biking trips, diving tours, cooking classes - find those destinations that interest you and where you can offer something unusual. It is with this approach that Velovuyki, who organize cycling trips around Europe, or Safari Tours, which specialize in diving tours and dive safari, have become popular in their niches. By the way, large tour operators also often make such programs - designed not for a wide audience, but for separate thematic segments. This means that the market exists.
  • Organization of author's tours. Bloggers have huge readerships, and many of them specialize in travel. In partnership with them, you can develop unusual programs. For example, one of my favorite projects, Travel Inside, grew out of a purely "blogging" format. They do not have a special thematic niche, they use a different approach - they collect their own warm audience that travels only with them. You can do the same or partner with popular bloggers and organize tours together.
  • Organization of tourist groups in a club format. Accommodation, transportation, entertainment and attractions are the bare minimum for organized groups. But you can go further and arrange parties, socializing and other team building elements during your trips. Prominent representatives of this format can be One Life and Mikhail Kozhukhov's Travel Club. Their clients are not just groups that meet every few days and say goodbye forever. No, they ride with them and with each other for many years.
  • Organization of tours in Russia for foreigners. All the same approaches can be used within your own country (unusual, author's, thematic tours). Examples include Express to Russia or ExploRussia, as well as foreign companies such as Responsibletravel, which organize tours to Russia for foreigners. They focus not only on history and typical walks in the center of Moscow or St. Petersburg, but also on natural attractions, holidays, and national cuisine. The market exists, but is not yet filled with competition, and the scope for new business is huge.

Personal experience

I started working in the tourism business in 2015, in the midst of another crisis. The bulk of clients are from the countries of the former Soviet Union. At that moment, my husband and I managed to intuitively find the right direction and we founded Time 2 Travel club - a company for organizing individual travel.

What worked well:

  • Experience and own example. We travel a lot in Europe and Asia, we constantly write about it on our social networks, and customers trust our advice on choosing attractions and hotels. Moreover, they want us, as people who have seen everything with their own eyes, to advise them on the best options.
  • Individual approach. We do not offer ready-made tours, but ask what the client would like. Yes, often the choice comes down to one of a dozen popular countries, for which we already have blanks. But this is how the client gets involved in the process, starts planning the trip even before the moment of payment, feels that this is his trip, his dream comes true. And, as a result, he goes with us to the very end, and does not look at how his competitors are doing.
  • Honesty. We play openly and tell our clients: this is the cost of travel, this is our commission. Oddly enough, they are extremely rarely traded - apparently, they understand that earnings on one trip are not so great, and they do not fantasize about huge hidden fees. We also always honestly tell people what they pay for, why one option is more expensive or cheaper than another, what to expect on the spot. This is highly valued and pays off handsomely in the form of positive reviews.

With the organization of individual tours, this was a good decision, and we decided to go further. Now we are expanding our business and will soon launch an online project under the same name Time 2 Travel - a search engine that will unite the organizers of excursions, tours and tourist entertainment, as well as travelers who are looking for unusual experiences.

Photo: on

This new project grew out of our pain as travel organizers: it's hard to find quality excursions and entertainment. When clients ask to organize a walk around Istanbul or Paris, the last thing they want is to get on the standard " historical reference' a few hours long. I would like to find a person who loves this city, lives it and not only tells and shows, but gives travelers impressions.

Here we can again return to the issue of free niches in the tourism business. Agree, a guide is not the rarest profession. But if you do not work like everyone else, but do something unusual, really high quality and from the heart, and not according to standard templates, it will be much easier for you to find your audience and sell your services to them at good prices.

A few key words

Free niches are constantly appearing on the market and finding them is not so difficult. What you need is to keep track of how people's preferences change. Yesterday they just wanted organizations within the framework of "visa, ticket, hotel" - it was necessary to meet these needs. Today they want entertainment, experiences and beautiful photos- you need to satisfy these new desires. Tomorrow this will also change and other areas of tourism will begin to gain popularity.

To keep your finger on the pulse, it is useful to regularly read social networks and forums, listen to feedback, and most importantly, ask your audience directly. This should all be part of a continuous and regular workflow.

Don't be afraid of negative reviews. When a client says something is missing, they are giving you the most valuable free consultation and actually pointing out what needs to be improved. In the same way, you can follow the reviews of competitors and draw ideas: what their customers like, what they don’t like.

With this approach, you are unlikely to run out of ideas. Of course, then there is a lot of work to be done to implement the plan, but this is a topic for another story.

2016-08-22T18:11:50+00:00

Hello again, dear readers. Finally, I got around to writing the final article on travel arrangements on your own. Even before this happened, many friends and acquaintances asked how I manage to travel on my own, book tickets, find hotels or fellow travelers. The questions, in principle, are the same for many, so I came up with the idea to arrange everything in the form of a small plan or guide for those who are just about to start organizing their travels.

This article will be both introductory and final, because first I had to write all the useful posts on this topic, and then combine them into a single guide. I want to say right away that all articles, tips and examples are mine. personal experience which I have tried and use to this day. So if you have any questions or misunderstandings, you need help, or maybe you want to add some more to the list important information be sure to write to comments.

So, below is a list of articles that I included in the topic “ How to organize your own trip”:

  1. How to organize a trip on your own and cheap

This list will be visible at the beginning of each page that is included in it. This is so that the reader does not get lost in the links. And the current article that you are in (for example, we are now on the page from the first paragraph) will be inactive and highlighted in a different color. It's simple. Naturally, only the most important planning points in my opinion are mentioned in the list, which is why I ask you for feedback with me, all of a sudden you think differently.

Now let me tell you how the organization of an independent trip is going on with me, at the same time I will briefly go over the items from the list.

1. Obtaining a passport via the Internet. Of course, what is a trip abroad without a passport. No, I do not argue that there are several other countries of the post-Soviet space (Kazakhstan, Abkhazia), where you can get on a Russian passport, but we don’t want to limit ourselves to the “near abroad”, right?

I am glad that with the development of the Internet, many operations with papers have become much faster and easier, so I always get my passport the same way. On which site can this be done, for how long, at what price and under what conditions is it better to take, as well as a list required documents to receive and a couple of practical tips you will receive by reading the corresponding article under item number 2.

2. Planning a route. Next, you need to decide, but where exactly will I go? And after the answer to this question is received, I begin to draw up a route for the country (countries) where I am going. For many, this particular point is a stumbling block, but I assure you that there is nothing complicated about it. Of course, for a beginner, you will have to spend some time, but then your work will be more than paid off by the fact that you will start easily and quickly compiling routes in any country, even in which you have not yet been. You can find out about this in the article item number 3.

3. Obtaining a visa. Oh how! Someone will say: “Where did this item come from? He is not on the general list!”. That's right, it is not there, because for each country obtaining a visa is individual. That is why I said that I included only the most important points on organizing a trip, I will not describe obtaining a visa to all 200-odd countries, especially yesterday, for example, in South Korea, a visa was needed, but today it is no longer there.

But, to make it easier to navigate this issue, because in any case it will be necessary to find out about the need to obtain a visa to a particular country, I will shed some light on this issue.

For starters, it would be nice to find out do i need a visa to the country where I was going. Personally, in this case, I do it simply: I go to Yandex and write “Japan visa” and see what they will give me. There are, of course, a bunch of sites where there is a whole list of visa-free or visa-free countries, but I do not trust them, because it is not known when this list was updated and whether it was updated at all. If you are still interested, then the best site (in terms of relevance at least) in my opinion is this one, but, I repeat, be sure to double-check the information.

If you need a visa, there are several ways to obtain it.:

  • at the embassy of the city of Moscow - I often use this particular point, since it is the cheapest and easiest for me (despite the fact that I am not a Muscovite), I still go through Moscow;). However, it is good to know what documents are required to apply. I deal with the solution of this issue on the same site that I gave above, but you can follow the standard scheme - “google”, and the best thing is to go to the consulate website (although sometimes info is only available in English). And it would be nice to have acquaintances in Moscow who would take the documents if you do not need a personal presence.
  • at the embassy of another country - this is if you have a lot of time and are traveling in more than one country.
  • upon arrival in another country - this item is not valid for all countries, which also needs to be found out. There are also options for obtaining a visa when ordering services in the form of air tickets around the country or hotels (very expensive option)
  • through a travel agency - the easiest way for those who do not live in the capital, however, you will have to pay for mediation. Accordingly, the farther from Moscow, the greater the “duty”.

4. What to take: card or cash? Choosing a plastic card. Money is the eternal question of mankind :). I think the title of the title speaks for itself. We decide in what form to take money with us, in cash or on a card? And if a card, which one is better? You will find answers to these questions in the article below. №4.

5. Buying a train ticket online. Since I am very far from the capital, and I fly mainly from Moscow, I often have to think about railway crossings. It is a pity that Russian Railways has no competitors, but if you make a purchase via the Internet, even a monopolist can find a couple of “tasty” offers. I wrote about this and much more in this article. item number 5.

6 and 7. Finding and buying cheap air tickets. The key word here would be “cheap” because, unlike railway, airlines compete, and how. But finding a cheap ticket is not so easy among the many “tricky” offers. So be sure to read not only the purchase method itself ( item number 7), but also the nuances of search engines that will help in your future experience in purchasing air tickets ( item number 8).

8. Finding cheap accommodation: book in advance or search locally. Well, of course, apart from all the tickets, we still need a roof over our heads. Since we're talking about independent travel, then we will look for and book a hotel on our own. There are two ways - booking in advance (via the Internet) and on the spot. What is better and better, you will definitely learn from the article item number 8.

9. List of travel items. It would seem the most banal point, well, why can’t I assemble myself? However, personally, I always keep with me a standard list of the most necessary things for all types of travel (mountain, long-term, recreational), so as not to suddenly forget something. Of course, a couple of items from the list are easily removed or added, it all depends on the preferences of each individual.

10. Airport: how to check in for a flight. Many travelers now chuckle when reading the title of this paragraph, apparently completely forgetting how they themselves stood for the first time in a huge airport lobby in confusion, not knowing where to go and who to turn to. And I remember, and therefore I wrote about how painlessly for your nerves to check in for a flight, which you can read about in paragraph number 9.

last two paragraphs No. 11 and No. 12 rather additional, however, recently I have been increasingly confronted with questions from others on these two topics, which is why I put them on the list. Who joined our group
