Excursions tours beach bai yai nha trang vietnam. Bai Dai Beach - a secluded place for a relaxing holiday

Bai Dai Nha Trang beach or many kilometers of deserted and almost wild beach twenty kilometers south of the city. I had planned to go to this beach for a long time, but I didn’t allow me to get out of the house for long distances at all. Fortunately, January in Nha Trang still pleases with more or less good weather, and before leaving, we still managed to see one of the most beautiful beaches in Nha Trang 🙂

Very beautiful beach Bai Dai in Nha Trang

Bai Dai Nha Trang beach. Description

Bai Dai Beach stretches for almost 17 km in the bay between the cities of Nha Trang and Cam Ranh. By the way, the very name of the beach Bãi Dài is translated from Vietnamese as “long beach”.

The long beach of Bai Dai (Bai Zai) stretches for almost 17 km!

Previously, there was a military base nearby and therefore this coastal part was inaccessible to tourists. And even now this part of the coast is still not very popular with tourists, but luxury hotels are being built at a huge pace on the coast, some of which will open their doors this year, so Bai Dai Beach will soon be filled with vacationers 🙂

Hotels are under construction along the coast
Very soon, chic villas will open their doors to tourists

Now most of the Bai Zai beach is completely wild and, accordingly, not well-groomed, there is a lot of natural garbage on the beach, and in some parts the beach resembles a landfill.

There is rubbish, there are no people!

I really like these landscapes

But still, on a long seventeen-kilometer beach, you can find almost paradise! We found two stretches of the beach where you can safely spend the whole day:

  • The beach is next to the Dessole Sea Lion Beach Resort. Coordinates: 12.035087, 109.214825
  • Plot at the very beginning of the beach under the mountain. Coordinates: 12.110496, 109.193802

Beach strip, sand, sea, waves, shadow

The beach strip of Bai Dai beach is very long, lovers of walking along the sea will be happy 🙂 The beach itself is quite narrow.

The sand on Bai Dai Nha Trang is white and very fine, green grass grows near the shore. The sea is bright turquoise, and the combination white sand, bright green grass and azure sea on Ban Zai reminded me of a chic one!

The landscape is almost like near our Parayso Beach Hotel in Tulum, Mexico
Almost Mexican landscapes 🙂
The sand on the beach is fine, white and fluffy
Near the water's edge there are pebbles and shells

There are always waves in the sea on Bai Dai Beach in winter, but they do not seem as huge as on. The sea is shallow, the entrance to the water is gentle. But swim in some places on Ban Dai Beach dangerous! The shallow sea and small waves create an illusion of safety, but in fact there are reverse currents (rip currents) in the sea, so you need to be very careful when swimming on this beach, swim only in strictly designated areas and do not swim far!

On some stretches of the beach there are posters warning that it is dangerous to swim.

There is almost no natural shade on Bai Dai Beach. If you are going to this beach for the whole day, then you need to either take an umbrella with you, or rent a sunbed under an umbrella, or look for a few places with shade.

There are very few shadows on the beach.
Near the shore there is not much vegetation that gives shade

Infrastructure

Most of the Bai Dai beach is completely wild and there is no infrastructure nearby. Small plots belong to a few hotels: of course, hotels have all the necessary infrastructure, including beach chairs and umbrellas, but they are not even rented out to non-hotel guests for a fee.

At the very beginning of the beach, under the mountain, there are a number of cafes, next to which you can leave the bike for 5,000 dong, where you can also rent a beach chair under a canopy. In the cafe you can dine with fresh seafood or drink a cup of Vietnamese coffee. These cafes on Bai Dai Beach are very popular to come to rest locals on weekends! Noisy Vietnamese people are still a pleasure 🙂 But on weekdays it is empty here.

If you drive a little further south (or walk along the seashore from a row of cafes along the beach a little to the right), then there will be a very nice place with several sunbeds under umbrellas. Here, normal sunbeds (not chairs!) Can be rented for only 50,000 VND per person.

Bai Dai Beach Hotels

On this moment there are only four hotels open on Bai Dai, I already talked about them in.

You need to understand that when choosing a hotel on Bai Dai beach, you find yourself in a reservation, almost like somewhere in the desert in Egypt 🙂 There are no cafes or shops nearby. I'm not even sure if you can rent a bike at the hotel ... Of course, a taxi to Nha Trang is at your service.

Bai Dai Beach: how to get there

Bai Dai Beach is located on the way from Nha Trang to Cam Ranh Airport, from the center of Nha Trang to the beginning of the beach about 22 km. Organized excursions like, for example, to Doclet beach, to Bai Zai beach, fortunately, they don’t carry it yet 🙂

You can get to Bai Dai Beach by:

1. Taxi. A taxi from Bai Dai Beach will cost about VND 200,000 one way (not by the meter, by the meter it will be more expensive! Negotiate the price in advance!) or approximately VND 400,000 - 500,000 waiting for you for several hours.

2. By bus. Because the beach is on the way to the airport, then you can get to it by bus number 18. I posted the schedule of this bus in. Bus number 18 stops at stops with orange signs. Just tell the conductor what you need at Bai Dai beach, he will tell you where to get off. On the way back, you just need to get off at the bus stop and look out for the bus. Only now you have to stand in the dust and in the heat itself, there is no shade. The fare is 30,000 VND per person.

3. On a bike. The best way to get to Bai Dai Beach is by bike. The road is not difficult, as soon as you leave Nha Trang and drive through, the traffic will become much calmer than in the city. The road to the beach passes by picturesque mountains, beautiful landscapes open up and it seems that you are no longer in Nha Trang 🙂 Even the air becomes different - clean, mountain-sea 🙂

Bai Dai Beach review and photos

Bai Dai Beach is a great place to relax and take a photo session: beautiful nature, few people (on weekdays), fine sand, warm sea. Bright landscapes are pleasing to the eye, especially if you know how to ignore the garbage around: yes, there is garbage, where would it be without it, yet the beach is almost wild.

Bai Dai Beach is located on the west coast of the island between the beach and the city of Duong Dong. Bai Dai beach is a small beach 2 kilometers from the capital of the island. From the city it can be reached by bike on a gravel road in 5-10 minutes. direct output there is no beach and you have to make your way through the path along the Shell Resort.

Bai Dai is an unpopular Phu Quoc beach, affected by difficult access and debris on the shore. But this is almost always an empty place where you can be yourself and sunbathe without clothes. Here you can throw a party with barbecue and loud music, no one will mind - there are only palm trees and fences around.

Bai Dai Beach has a quick descent into the water, so you can immediately start swimming, and not go to an acceptable depth. The sand is fine with big amount corals, but on the shore there is a lot of garbage from picnics and plastic bags. The water is clean and you can swim without problems. The beach offers a view of Duong Dong Pier and fishing boats in the roadstead. The place to visit is unique: there are beautiful palm trees and coastline, but the garbage spoils the whole picture, as well as the destroyed buildings along the coast. In the future, this place will definitely be even more built up with hotels and resorts, but for now it is a wild corner, although not well-groomed and unsettled. For a comfortable stay, it is better to choose a beach

Bai Dai beach - quiet beach in the northwest of Phu Quoc Island. It is not yet as famous as Long Beach or Bai Sao, but is gradually gaining popularity. In the article you will find detailed information about this beach.

Sand

Almost the entire length of Bai Dai Beach is clean, with small yellow sand. A few years ago, it was one of the most "pristine" beaches in all of Vietnam, but now new resorts and hotels are being actively built here. Due to construction in some places on the beach there is garbage, but fortunately this does not happen often.

On Bai Dai Beach, you can still find secluded corners where there are no tourists and hotels are not being built - these corners deserve best reviews lovers beach holiday . For example, there is such a place closer to Vung Bau beach in the south, behind Mong Tay Cape.

Sea and descent into the water

The color of the sea near Bai Dai shimmers with all shades from blue to green. The water is warm and pleasant.

The descent into the water is quite gentle, so the beach is well suited for holidays with children and those who have not yet learned to swim well. Sometimes there is a small current, but usually the sea is calm.

What to see and do

Visit an amusement park

In the south of the beach there is a large amusement park called Vinpearl Land Phu Quoc ().

All kinds of entertainment are collected on a vast territory - water park, oceanarium, slot machines, amusement park and much more. Here you can have fun for both adults and children. For convenience, you can stay at the Vinpearl Hotel for quick access to the park. Official site: http://www.vinpearlland.com

How to get to Bai Dai Beach

Getting to Bai Dai is not difficult at all. From the main city of Phu Quoc, Duong Dong, you need to get to Cua Can Road. This road starts right after the old airport and goes to the northern part of Phu Quoc island.

You need to go straight on it until you reach before the turn to Vinpearl Phu Quoc Resort. If you turn left, you will reach the hotel and find yourself in the southern part of Bai Dai Beach, and if you drive further, you will reach Gan Dau Village, which closes the beach from the north.

Hotels on the beach

There is only one hotel directly on the beach - the five-star Vinpearl Phu Quoc Resort with the amusement park of the same name nearby.

Thanks to its coves, beaches and crystal clean water Nha Trang is rightfully considered the beach Mecca of Vietnam. The coastline stretches the entire length of Nha Trang province and annually welcomes millions of tourists to its sands.

Nha Trang has twice won votes as the place with the most beautiful bays in the world and good beach infrastructure. There are no two identical beaches here. And in this article, we'll take a look at the very best of them, from the bustling Tran Phu to the quieter and almost wild Bai Dai Beach, which is perfect for those looking to get away from the noise of the city.

Some of the beaches are a fair distance from the center of Nha Trang, but the trip to them along the beautiful coastline deserves special attention.

Most south beach Nha Trang - Bai Dai (Bai Dai or Bai Zai).

Most northern beach Nha Trang - Doc Let (Doclet or Zoklet).

City beach of Nha Trang - Tran Phu or Tran Phu

Tran Phu Beach can be easily reached on foot from almost anywhere in Nha Trang. Because this is the most close beach to the city, then it is the most popular.

Along the beach is a very beautiful Tran Phu Street. On it were located luxury resorts, hostels, souvenir shops, museums and seafood restaurants. Night life it's all over the place here.

From the beach opens beautiful view to numerous islands. Here you can buy an excursion to the islands. I advise you to meet the sunrise or sunset here, it's very beautiful.

The entrance is free. The cost of sun loungers is 60 - 100 thousand dongs.

Good hotels nearby

There are cons, only if you do not want to relax with fellow countrymen + relatively high prices.

Hon Chong Beach - Wikiwand Hon Chong Beach

Northern extension of the central beach of Nha Trang. Only 5 kilometers separate it from the main beach. The beach is named after the bay of the same name. Hon Chong is 5 minutes from the famous Po Nagar Cham towers. It is quiet here and bizarrely shaped stones, thanks to which there are much fewer waves in the bay. This beach is more suitable for families with children.

Hon Chong is the most favorite beach among the locals. They come here early in the morning and in the evening to swim and avoid sunbathing.

The water here is also cleaner than on central beach. The current from the ocean, which brings turbidity from monsoon rains, does not reach here.

Entrance to the beach is free, and if you want to walk in the rock garden, then be kind enough to lay out 22,000 dong. It's worth it, from the height of the stone pile offers a panoramic view of the beach and surroundings.

Hong Chong has a very calm and relaxing atmosphere. There are several small coffee shops and seafood restaurants.

300 meters to the south is Hon Do (Red Island), where there is a Buddhist temple, and to the northeast is Hon Rua (Turtle Island).

After living for about two weeks in resort town Nha Trang ( Nha Trang), we inevitably wanted a beach holiday in exotic and ideal conditions. The city beach of Nha Trang sins with rather dirty coarse sand and a large number of vacationers, especially on weekends and holidays. We explored the surroundings and found the cleanest deserted beach, about 7 kilometers long, called Bai Dai Beach.

How to get to Bai Dai Beach?

Bai Dai Beach is located 23 kilometers from Nha Trang city center and 15 kilometers from Cam Ranh, where a large international Airport. Despite the impressive distance for two people on one small scooter, it is overcome easily and naturally. The roads are excellent everywhere, there are no steep descents or ascents, and because of the views you can stop every 5-6 kilometers, as well as because of the fruit smoothie). Buses from Nha Trang run every 15-20 minutes, any one to Cam Ranh will do.

Bai Dai hotels and beaches.

Since the beach is very long, exoticism and cleanliness are not always at the highest level, especially since the local coastline is very actively built up with hotels. Most are still closed and construction work is going on around them. We easily found perfect place for relaxation, between the Fusion Resort and Movenpick hotels. Wild beach itself turned out to be wonderful and unusually clean, but signs hanging everywhere prohibiting swimming in non-equipped places forced us to walk 30 meters to the beach of the Fusion Hotel. The purest fine sand, clear azure water, the absence of neighbors and the soft Vietnamese Sun made us fall in love with Bai Dai beach. Despite the proximity of the hotel, every few times we went there, the scenery was beautiful and almost completely deserted. Hotels on Bai Dai Beach are quite diverse, from the budget Fusion, to Marriott and Radisson. But there are only a few inexpensive hotels on the second line.
