Therefore, I can quite reliably tell the entire wide audience, both those who have visited the hotel and those who are planning to come to this luxurious and at the same time very homely, family-run hotel in Crete, about all the nuances, beauties and little things of Creta Palace!
1. BEACH: Impeccable in every way! There is no desire to even compare it with other beaches! Someone like wild beaches, rocky shores for some, entry into the sea is preferable from a stone slab ... The blue banner of the European Union is not given just like that, I assure all reasonable people! And!!! I note, because I have the right to do this, having visited this beach 10 times already, that every year, a new season, this beach always has a lot of new, great ideas, redevelopment, recreation areas near the beach-bar, service, sports areas, animation zones! Only caring for sea turtles remains unchanged! They receive a lot of attention, love and care! There is a volunteer group of young people who oversee the entire breeding process on this carreta-carreta sea turtle beach!
FOOD: I can say that having visited all the countries of the Mediterranean basin in different time summer season, Grecotel food is the best regardless of the number of stars! From the point of view of bio-products, from the point of view of the variety of dishes, from the point of view of restaurant staff, and this is extremely important! I think that many people do not know that in the Creta Palace Labyrinth restaurant you can ask the restaurant staff and, of your choice, they will make Fresh juice from any fruit and absolutely free! And this is not a one-time request of guests, I personally observed it! As for the quality of the dishes, their variety. I have the opportunity to make a comparison for many years of rest in the department. There was one season, in 2010, and this is also noted by the hotel managers themselves in conversations with me, when the cuisine of the main Labyrinth restaurant was not very successful, or, as we say, "not up to par." But it was an isolated case! This, as the restaurant workers themselves said, was the chef's question. But this year, I rested from September 20 to October 01, the kitchen, all the dishes were just excellent!
As for children's dishes, I can't say exactly all the nuances. But very often I noticed that the children ate various foods and were satisfied, as well as their parents! Although a separate segment of children's cuisine was present in the restaurant in a large assortment! This, by the way, makes the entire Grecotel chain different from other hotels in Greece! Taking advantage of the fact that I am writing about the food and restaurants of the hotel, I want to thank all the staff of the Labyrinth, and especially, I may have incorrectly defined the position, senior manager Stelios! Always attentive to everyone without exception, responsive, knows his job thoroughly!
ROOMS: I rested in different parts of the hotel, and in the central building and in the bungalow and in the famous class. Despite the small negatives in the reviews about the rooms, I will say that the room is cleaned both once a day and twice a day with a mandatory mini-bar and a bottle of wine and water! Water every day, a bottle of wine every two days! As for the accommodation in the rooms, it is simply beyond praise! It’s not entirely clear to me how, when reading reviews, I find out about the discomfort when placing or the desire of hotel employees to place them in the worst rooms .. During my 12 years of vacation at Creta Palace, I have not come across the cases described in the reviews! Each of my trips to Crete in this hotel is always remembered very warmly! As for the so-called wi-fi, in 2002-2010. Internet was present in the reception area and the first floor. Resting this year, I used the Internet in the room where I lived, 705.
POOL: again I would like to recall the reviews of hotel guests that "in all the pools the water is cold and no one swam" ... This is not true even in the period September-October! The water is the same as in the sea, there are many swimmers, especially since the sea since September 20 was extremely restless, with waves! On September 20, it was raining heavily, many hotel managers joked with me that it was I who brought such weather on the first day of my vacation! Therefore, there were many vacationers near the pool and directly in the pool itself, including children!
FARM Agrecofarm: you are drawn to come here, even when you are far away from your hometown, in winter.. Why? Here everything is created for relaxation, full and luxurious! I can't forget the first visit to the farm.. Just like this year, everything comes alive in memory! Grape harvest festival, kri-kri goats, church, rich supper, unforgettable scenery... visiting this family place Grecotel President's birthday for the 10th time, I come across the idea that I myself can already conduct excursions to all corners of the farm .. Although every year is incredibly interesting! I enter the farm as if I am returning to my childhood. God bless Nikos Daskolandonakis and his entire team of top managers and just all the hotel employees who make a holiday for all the guests of Creta Palace every year!
Arriving back home after a vacation, time passes a little and all the days of rest come back in memory ... And you already start planning a meeting with your friends on about. We were greeted with strawberry juice, the hotel is more family-friendly, but in general for everyone. Children's corner from 11 to 17:00, regardless of the meals of the parents. Stroller 25€ for the whole stay, potties 10€ for the whole stay; iron, bottle sterilizer - everything is there, for a fee. Internet is free throughout the territory. The hotel has Russian speaking staff. There is a football club Arsenal. Very good deluxe hotel family vacation. By the way, cocktails, whiskey, etc. good imported drinks.
Another great representative of the Grecotel chain! I especially want to note the number of rooms: everything is in perfect condition. The only caveat: if you are traveling with children, indicate a note that the room is on the 2nd-3rd floor, since the floor is not tiled there! The hotel is not in perfect new condition, a demanding VIP client will notice nuances in small things, but they are minimal. Wide sandy beach. near the village of Rethymnon. The hotel is ideal for all categories of tourists, but a special emphasis on family vacations.
I really liked the hotel. Beautiful territory, in 2009 the last renovation took place. Family friendly hotel. Located just 4 km. from the very beautiful city Crete - Rethymno. The widest sandy beach, sand-pebble sunset. In my opinion standard rooms can be safely sent to the deluxe category. On the 4th floor only suites. There is a family maisonette, I would not advise, not at all safe steps. Upon arrival you will receive a gift from the hotel - wine and a fruit basket.
Great hotel with a very large area. It works on half board, you can change dinner for lunch, for children in the mini club all inclusive. On the territory there is a church for a wedding, in general the hotel is very pleasant and comfortable. It consists of a main building and a bungalow, carpet in the main building, tiles in the bungalow. Nice wide sandy beach good location being close to Rethymno is a big plus.

I went to May 2010 to prepare for the exam, chose a hotel so that I could hardly get out of it and read, since I had been to Crete before and had already seen a lot. The room was in a bungalow on the second floor, everything is fine in the room - bed, bed, sofa, welcome fruits, wine, only in the bathroom everything was old and pretty shabby (I am very sensitive to this). There are no other comments - the hotel is excellent, nice area, the beach is very close and good, in early May, from 11 o'clock, the sea warmed up and you could swim (without a mat and for a long time). Very nice staff, all polite and helpful. I had never eaten so deliciously anywhere before, I was skeptical about the almost Michelin stars promoted by the travel agency, but I was convinced that they were right - organic products from their own farm really rule, even the simplest dishes are amazingly tasty and fresh! in the morning strawberries (small, not chemical!) and other fruits, natural yoghurts, dakos and other croutons, pies, honey of various types, in general, Cretan dishes were in a large assortment, fresh juices. sometimes queues lined up at the chefs for dinner, but it was worth it - a piece of lamb leg is cooked on a skewer and they cut it right into your plate, or even a banal Caesar, but cooked from all the freshest right in front of you - these are just standards for what these dishes should be. Greek wines are traditionally not my thing, but Erdinger Weiss at dinner was a theme. I didn’t understand the review at all, where the food was bad, I really had just some kind of gastronomic extravaganza. Halfy corner with something dietary was also important to whom. I got to the SPA only a couple of times - the massage was done very well, I also went for one Ayurvedic procedure for the back - I'm not very enthusiastic, but I just don't like everything that smells strongly. although if you find fault - the roof leaked a little in the manicure room). in the evenings, such tents were opened on the beach in the bar - very picturesque and romantic at sunset. I understand there you could book a table and order something a la carte. a ticket to a single cost less than 800 euros, I think it's just an excellent price / quality ratio. one of the minuses - it was very noisy, a huge company of policemen from Donetsk with their families drove in, they came off)).
out of 5 * in Crete, I can only compare with Elunda Beach - a hotel of a much more powerful class there - with old women in diamonds at dinner, with wooden "yacht" floors in rooms and buildings, jacuzzis and steam rooms in rooms, yacht parking right next to the suites and a very technological and advanced SPA, but in terms of feeding it was DEFINITELY lost to Grekotel - only a little, the choice is small, really a buffet of 4 times smaller , all some kind of overcooked and over-oiled, fresh vegetables and they didn’t seem very good, and this despite the fact that I was in Elounda after a two-month diet and even any cracker seemed to be a Michelin delight)))

To be honest, not bad, but Grecotel is not the same!! Pros: -large and green territory., -rooms-huge., -always kind and smiling staff., -wonderful woman - artist at Atelier! Knows how to interest both children and adults., -Wide beach., -Always clean beach-the presence of a heated pool, and this turned out to be very important, since in a simple, children's pool with slides, the children were cold and could not stay there longer than 10-20 minutes, -good cuisine, but not to compare with the variety of dishes in 2012 and 2014!! Cons: -Rooms URGENTLY need refurbishment! We lived in a family bungalow garden view. Stained furniture! Dirty windows and curtains. A stained bed in the parents' bedroom.-cold water in the pools, but this is probably not thought out in this hotel. Children go to the pool with slides and run away from there, frozen. -cleaning...so-so... -guest relation work. To put it mildly, I was a little surprised! I will make a reservation, we are regular guests of the Grekotel hotel chain. We met, of course, with drinks and juices. They took us to the room and forgot ... This year we rested in the Grecotel Olympia oasis in the Peloponnese, where we encountered a completely different attitude and care! Every day, the employee came up and asked if everyone was happy, if help was needed. A trifle, but nice! There is no such thing here! Meeting us at breakfast and lunch, the worker had no questions;) probably tired by the end of the season ....;)) Another real problem was the smoking of the neighbors! We are a non-smoking family. The room was on the second floor and the door to the balcony could not be opened! Since the neighbors below regularly arranged a smoke break in their clearing. Honestly! It interfered a lot! I would probably suggest that the management divide the rooms into smokers and non-smokers, especially since there are a lot of families with small children in the hotel. And another very small nuance and trifle. I already wrote above that this is our third stay in this hotel. I was a little surprised by this fact, do not consider it fussy. A Family Bungalow garden view room was booked. Of course, we understood that no one would put us in a room of the highest category with a sea view :), although I want to make a reservation here ... while relaxing in the same hotel in September 2014, we were very pleasantly surprised when instead family rooms Bungalow garden view, as a bonus, we, as regular guests of the Grekotel, were accommodated in a room of the best category. Even with a view of the garden, but then this little thing was a very pleasant surprise. The room is many times larger! This time the managers strictly observed everything! Booked Bungalow Family garden view, get it! What a surprise! What are you talking about! 😂 Actually, we didn’t claim. Thank you at least listened to my wish and settled higher, but with the hotel not fully loaded. At the end of the season (the hotel is open until 4.11), put regular guests in a room overlooking the utility rooms and wake up every morning from the sound of garbage trucks and broken glass, it was not very pleasant! It seems to be a trifle, but the sediment remained! Think about it, dear hotel management! Number 653! 👏👌 Since we arrived only for a week and we are not conflict people, we didn’t go to sort things out at the reception, but I couldn’t not write about it! Summary: despite the many letters, thank you for reading, I will say this: Uv.management Grecotel! You have wonderful staff on the beach, in the main restaurant, etc. Everyone is kind and smiling, but learn to appreciate and notice that people come back to you year after year !!
