Beaches in Fukuoka with clear water. The best beaches of Fukuoka - what attracts tourists so much? Hotels located along Long Beach

I am sure that all those who leave for Vietnam from the harsh Russian winters will not only spend all their time looking at and studying local sights, but will also want to bask in the sun and swim in the sea on the best beaches of Phu Quoc.

And for those who have already been on this island or are just going to go, I did below short review, in my opinion, all the main beaches .

You can choose a hotel on an excellent service, he searches for hotels on all major booking systems, such as Booking, Agoda, Hotels, etc. and will immediately give you the cost of the hotel in these systems. I also wrote a review about .

#1: Beach Long beach(long beach)

It is located on the west coast of the island washed by the Gulf of Thailand. Since it is located on the southwestern coast, you can, of course, watch beautiful sunsets from it, as the sun does not just set over the horizon, but seems to fall into the sea.

The beach stretches from Duong Dong and stretches south for almost twenty kilometers. The sand has a yellow tint and is bordered by a grassy edge of the coast lined with rows of coconut palms.

The central and northern part is the most the best place for relax. There are numerous hotels, cafes and bars along the road leading to Duong Dong, where you can have a delicious lunch and a glass of wine. Clean beach, a lot of sunbeds, compared to Thailand, it is not crowded here.

The southernmost part of the beach is mostly deserted, in the distance there are lonely fishing shacks made of palm leaves. Slowly, construction is increasingly covering its southern part. So soon there will be hotels and other developed infrastructure here.

Bai Sao is not inferior to Long Beach in its significance and beauty. Its length is about two kilometers, and it is located in the southern part of the island, 25 kilometers from the capital Duong Dong. Bai Sao is a rather secluded beach with soft and white sand - one of the few on the island.

On it you can not only passively sunbathe, but if you prefer a whiter active holiday, then here you can rent a jet ski, go scrolling or just ride a banana. Also near the beach there are several hotels and restaurants that offer European, Vietnamese or Russian dishes.

Here in the ocean you can see starfish, if you're lucky, small squids. In the northernmost and southern regions islands, there are places where you will find corals.

Adviсe:

  • From May to October, the sea in this place is calm, as the winds go to the western part of the island. And from October to May the sea will be restless, especially in the middle of the day.
  • Bai Sao is a popular beach and it gets crowded from time to time. But if you are looking for privacy and peace, then come to it either early in the morning or in the evening to admire the amazing sunset.

Bai Ong Lang is located on the west coast of Phu Quoc. It is located between the town of Ganh Dau and Duong Dong. Bai Ong Lang is not continuous, but consists, as it were, of a series of small sandy beaches separated by ridges of stones.

All recreation areas in the resorts are well maintained, they are regularly cleaned from the debris that the waves bring to the shore. It's wonderful quiet place, not touristy, lovely White sand, with crystal clean water.

There are no shops on this one, so it's best to buy everything you need in advance and bring with you. But if you want to drink cocktails or beer, then you will find a bar or restaurant next to the hotel. If you are not satisfied with the food here, then you can always go to Duong Dong, which is located a 15-minute drive from the beach.

A vendor sometimes walks along the beach and offers you to buy fresh pineapple, mango or watermelon. Sun loungers on this beach can be rented for about 50 VND per day.

#4: Beach bai Khem(Bai Khem Beach)

Bai Khem (also known as Kem Beach, Bai Kem, Bai Khem, and also called “Cream Beach”) is another white sandy beach in Phu Quoc, located on the southeast coast south of An Thoi Town, 24 kilometers from Duong Dong.

Bai Khem is a beautiful crescent-shaped beach. Wet white powdery sand creaks pleasantly underfoot. The sea here is calm with a greenish-blue tint. In connection with which it received the name - Emerald Bay.

Although the beach itself is not as big as Long Beach or Bai Sao, it also attracts tourists with its romantic scenery. A fishing village nestled near the beach.

There are also bars and restaurants on Khem Beach that offer freshly cooked seafood. By visiting this place, you can buy fresh shrimp, oysters or snails that have just been caught directly from the fishing boats, and then take them to a restaurant where they will be cooked for you on the spot according to your chosen recipe.

Vung Bao is located in the northwest of Phu Quoc Island between Cua Bi Beach in the south and Bai Dai Beach in the north. It offers excellent views of neighboring island Hong Mong Tai, it has a good place for swimming, as well as for fishing and scrolling.

The sand on the beach is dark yellow in color, and it is relatively clean. In the high season, the sea is calm here, and the water takes on various shades of blue. The southernmost part of the beach is completely deserted.

While snorkeling, you may see starfish, shells and, if you're lucky, sea urchins, but be careful not to touch them.

If you like outdoor activities, then here you can rent a kayak to swim to the nearest Fingernail Island.

Phu Quoc Island is just beginning its large-scale tourism development, yes, it is not a completely wild place here, but it can hardly be called fully developed either. This is how it can attract the attention of travelers who want to see the untouched beauty of wild tropical nature and bask in the sun on half-empty beaches, sometimes even with white sand. Phu Quoc is an island located in the south of Vietnam in the Gulf of Thailand.

Great place for beach holiday our winter. Here, from the end of November to April, beautiful weather prevails for a measured beach holiday. You should not go here from May to October. The sea during this period becomes exciting. And streams of water pour from the sky, which at a certain period fill the streets of the city and you almost have to swim along them. It looks like this. In this article I will tell you about the beautiful and deserted beaches of Fukuoka Island, where in some places there is even white sand. Sometimes even like from an advertisement for a bounty chocolate bar.

  • Phu Quoc Island's main beach is Long Beach it is along it that the bulk of all hotels, cafes, restaurants, and shops are located, and all other beaches need to be reached around the island by bike or taxi.
  • Seas in season (November to April) mostly calm in the west warm, clean beautiful place for a quiet beach holiday. Sandy gentle entry into the sea. Comfortable spot for holidays with children.
  • The scorching sun can ruin your vacation, if on the first day you go swimming from 11 am to 2 pm without any sunscreen or capes, but even with protection at this time it is better not to appear in the sun. With swimming, it is better not to overdo it, because the sun reflects even more strongly from the water. Sunset is approaching around 6:00 pm.
  • In many Asian countries, beach fleas and flies are found on the beaches., but do not be alarmed, their bites can be avoided if you follow the simplest rules. Lie on a bed or sun lounger. Stand on the wet sand in the waves. Move, when walking, they will not have time to bite you, fleas are very lazy creatures. Zhenya wrote an article about flea and insect bites, where he tells what local ointments can help relieve itching, if you are still bitten -
  • All beaches are urban and they do not belong to hotels, know this if you are not allowed to go to the sea. There are, of course, luxury hotels with a closed area through which you may not be allowed to pass the guards. However, no one can forbid you to walk along the beach. The phrase "Call policy" (call the police) - acts on them soberingly if you walk along the beach, and do not break into the main gate of the hotel

  • To find these beaches on the ground, get a SIM card where the Internet will be. Which SIM card and what tariffs to buy in Fukuoka. Use Google map, which marked almost all the beaches of the island.

I wanted to post a separate video for each beach, but I decided that it would be better to give a link to the playlist:

BeachLongbeach(long beach)

This beach is located on the western side of the island. Basically, most of the hotels in Fukuoka were built in close proximity to it. It is here that all tourist life islands, there are many cafes, restaurants, shops. This is the main densely populated beach of the island. There are a lot of people with. Tourists, service personnel, hotels, the river carrying out city garbage - all this is not good for cleanliness.

Long Beach is quite long with a gentle sandy entrance. The sand on it is yellow, in some places the beach is narrow due to the buildings of different hotels close to the sea. The length of the beach, according to various sources, is from 10 to 15 km. Now Long Beach is divided into many small beaches. For example, the well-known golden sand beach, episode, sunset beach - this is all one Long Beach.

In the high season, with the influx of tourists, between December and February, biting plankton breeds in Fukuoka water. The reaction to it in people is different: from light biting, to allergic reactions. It is not possible to predict the reaction in advance, but in most cases itching disappears 5-10 minutes after leaving the sea. But plankton does not always happen, which is very pleasing.

Sun loungers in most places in Fukuoka are paid, saw the price of 100 dong (300 rubles) for one day, and it's free if you live in a hotel on the beach. Comparing with Cambodia, this is a little expensive, because. there, the price for a sun lounger on the beach was equivalent to buying something in a cafe, it could even be water for $ 1.

Episode and Golden Sand Beach - part of Long Beach

Since Long Binch is very long (it was not called that for nothing), some of its parts cannot be seen without vehicle(scooter or taxi). Since 2017, the northern part of the beach (right on the territory of the Sanset Sonato hotel) has become famous for its new project Episode. Here you can see the remains of art objects created by the builders of Kazantip and partially destroyed by Episode. Access to the beach is paid, but you can go by water from the Golden Sand Beach bar, as, I remind you the entire coastline of Fukuoka is urban and cannot be private!

Beach episode coordinates on google map: https://goo.gl/maps/65NJeFb41XK2

Episode boasts amazing buildings that have already become a new attraction in Fukuoka. They can be seen and captured on the camera, and completely free of charge, you just need to get there. And to argue a little with the guards, proving that 30 meters of the beach in Vietnam is a public place and cannot be a private area.

Unfortunately, these fish are no more - they were demolished with some other objects.

Directly behind the fence from the Episode is another interesting beach with an old Zhiguli car and many objects, for unusual photo sessions. This is one of the places in Fukuoka with free sun loungers. This Golden Sand Beach- golden sand beach Cafes, music and a great place to meet the sunset:

Finding a beach on a Google map is also not difficult: https://goo.gl/maps/Pj6hgrnULY92

Also quite a nice place with beach parties - This is Sunset Beach. There is a bar of the same name on it, where performances of Vietnamese and foreign DJs are held daily. The prices in the bar are slightly higher than the average city prices, but quite normal for the beach. Free sun loungers and relaxed atmosphere

Bai Sao Beach (Sao Beach orBaiSao)

To Bai Sao beach you need to go to the south of the island, from the city of Zuong Dong about 20-25 km. You can rent a scooter, you can take a taxi (by the way, a taxi costs 8,000-10,000 VND for 1 km). The main road leading to it is of good quality, only the last 2 km at the exit is a completely bad dirt road. It was very inconvenient to ride a bike because of the piled stones, and taxi drivers, buses were constantly overtaking and raising dust. Therefore, if you go there once, just to see the beach, it is better to choose a taxi, but if difficulties do not scare you, then:

The first impression of the beach is amazing:

  • straight eyes cuts from the snow-white sand
  • blue bay (everything as in advertising)
  • palm trees with hanging swings

I have never seen such a beautiful beach.

Coordinates of Bai Sao beach in Phu Quoc on Google maps: https://goo.gl/maps/wjY3ppYMjXN2

However, upon closer inspection, Bai Sao Beach is not at all deserted. There are several hotels on it and guests are sunbathing on sun loungers. Other tourists constantly come from different parts of the island to see and capture the beauty of the beach. Therefore, the photo on the swing turns into a small queue, because everyone wants a great shot on such an amazing beach. By the way, you will be charged 20,000 VND for the swing, but you can do without extortion.

There is some debris in the bushes between the hotels and in the tidal wave, which greatly spoils the view. The dirt is usually removed by hotel workers, but during the high season, the sea throws out new garbage daily. Perhaps you need to come to this beach early in the morning to enjoy the peace and tranquility. You can also go a little to the side or go to the neighboring Paradise beach - about it a little lower.

The sea seemed transparent due to the white sand, however, it was exciting that day. Also, our guys stayed to sunbathe in the shade, and they were badly bitten by midges.

We would not live here in the outskirts, except for a couple of hotels and cafes, there is nothing else here. There is no infrastructure, this is a place for a short relaxation and immersion in oneself, however, many residents of megacities strive for this, for a two-week solitude from the whole world. Here is a review recently left by guests of Bai Sao Beach in Fukuoka:

Firstly, the road is personally from us, and we are on-line - it costs about 500,000, and secondly, these most popular swings are paid, each for 20,000, while no one is around - of course you can take a picture quickly. But if you approach, a ton of negativity will fall out on you, like “no, don’t sit here, you can’t sit here” and just almost force you out of there. The sea is dirty when you walk along the beach with diapers and dead fish under your feet. When you sit on the beach (and you can’t sit everywhere if you don’t take a sun lounger for 100,000), you are driven from a good place to a dirty one, where even an old toothbrush is lying on the sand. Small children walk around with garbage bags, they say, they collect garbage, and ask for money, like in Indian slums. In general, this, I don’t even have words

Paradiso Beach – Paradiso Restaurant

This is truly a heavenly beach. The beach is located next to the hotel. You can go through safely, leaving the bike in the parking lot - the cost is 100,000 dong. But with this money you can order a cocktail at the bar, so in fact it's just a deposit. Here is the same clean white sand, but unlike Bai Sao:

  • the beach is regularly cleaned here and very well cleaned
  • free swing
  • no beggars
  • clean shower and toilet

Bai Ong Lang (BaiOngLang)

The beach lies north of the city Zuong Dong on the west coast of the island. There are also cafes and bars here; one cannot call it secluded, in some way it resembles Long Beach. However, all the beaches here are good and each in its own way.

Back in the 2018 season, it could be recommended for a quiet family vacation with kids. But now there is construction almost everywhere in this area. Noisy. Some of the beaches were closed to guests. In general, the area is still better, as it is located above the river, so there is much less dirt in the water. Biting plankton also rarely appears here.

Coordinates central beach He Lang on Google Maps: https://goo.gl/maps/quYB62N6DwL2

However, vacationers and guests of Phu Quoc Island also prefer neighboring beaches, such as the beach of the Mango Bay Hotel, where tourists are quietly let through. How is the beach enviably different from the city limits of Long Beach, where not every hotel welcomes guests

.

Bai Vung Bao

This beach is located north of the city of Zuong Dong, about 10-12 km., You can’t get there on foot, a taxi or a bike will help you with this. Having moved to him from the main road, we realized that he was far away, and the road was not very good, we had to shake on the gravel road and such red earth.
The hotels are located far from the beach, so there are not so many guests here, everyone comes, who is on what - scooters, taxis or bicycles.

At the same time, it is not crowded, there is one cafe on it with its own sun loungers and an offer to stay with them and order something tasty, probably when ordering, they will not charge you for the sun lounger itself. However, no one bothers to move to one side and sit in the shade of trees.

Bai Dai beachBai Dai Beach)

You can get to this beach without reaching the Vinperl water park, because. then everything is blocked off and closed by the park and the construction of the hotel before it. If you mark a point on the map and drive up, just to this construction site of a large hotel in front of the park, turn onto the paved road to the left (if you drive from Zuon Dong), along which you can get to the beach not so far.

Approaching the beach, we saw on the right hand the ennobled territory of some hotel, but there was no one on the left, however, builders began to arrive a little later, apparently from the same construction site, to swim and relax. Perhaps if you arrive there in the morning, then there will be no one else and you can sunbathe and swim as you please. The entry into the sea at the time of our arrival seemed very small, we had to go further away to swim, while trees grow on the shore, under which there is a shadow.

Bai Gang Dau (GanhDaubeach)

This beach is located in the upper part of the island on the northwest coast, from the city of Zuong Dong to go somewhere 27-29 km.

You drive straight along the road past a Vietnamese village and find yourself on this beach, it is quite small in size, there are many fishing boats, there is a cafe, but it was dirty with us, they didn’t stay on it, took a photo and left. From this beach you can see several islands of Cambodia, below in the photo you can see them in the distance. If you drive a little further, along the same road, you can see a Buddhist temple.

Beach coordinates on Google maps: https://goo.gl/maps/HDdsMqRuZoK2

Bai Rush Wem (BaiRachVem)

This is one of the most popular distant beaches. It is worth coming here to admire the beautiful starfish, of which there are quite a lot. Therefore, Starfish Beach has become a must-see during. Yes, and by taxi and bike, hundreds of tourists come every day to look at starfish. This is the second most famous beach of Phu Quoc Island (just behind Bai Sao).

Phu Quoc starfish beach coordinates on Google map: https://goo.gl/maps/PG5WDDXVL3U2

It is only better to go to the left along the beach, so that it is clean, because. when we arrived, we saw where the cafes were, it was very dirty. And when we moved a little further away, we were able to enjoy a stunning view of the sea, starfish, palm trees.

Bai Thom

This beach is about 36 km away. from the city of Zuong Dong to the northeast of the island, although there are cafes here, the beach itself seemed deserted. By the way, the Cambodian coast is also perfectly visible from here.

A great place to sunbathe in what my mother gave birth to and do all sorts of different pranks right from the shade under a palm tree. The main thing is not to forget to lie on a towel or a blanket, remember about fleas, I think they will be happy with your naked body on a deserted beach. Closer to the right end of the beach, you can walk along the bridge to the nearest island to admire the wildlife.

Bai Khem (Khembeach)

This beach is located on the southeast side of Phu Quoc Island. On the larger territory of this beach there is an expensive Marriot hotel, the minimum cost of a room in which per day will cost 27-30 tr. Security does not allow access to the beach through the hotel. Just now, in our chat about Fukuoka, suggested that you can safely walk around the territory and along the beach for a deposit of $ 25. The deposit can be spent both in the bar and in the restaurant.

And if you want to get to the free part of the beach, you will have to leave the road and drive through the wild wilderness, but it's worth it, you can sunbathe and swim to your heart's content.

Beach coordinates on Google maps: https://goo.gl/maps/J5e4tmfEsaS2

And finally, the most beautiful sunset, of which there are an amazing number and you can admire them almost every day in the warm season.

Come to Phu Quoc island and admire the sea, sun, palm trees and such beautiful beaches, write in the comments your impressions if you have already been here or questions, if something is not clear. Have a nice trip and rest in this amazing place.

Hello, thanks for the article! I'm going to spend the winter in Phu Quoc, tell me where it is better to settle. I don't want to live in tourist place, but it is important that you can rent a small apartment (such as a guest house or home stay), there were shops, a market and the Internet were available. Which beach is the best to visit? Thanks guys! Have a good day!

Good afternoon. Well, there isn't much choice. The main feature of Fukuoka is the location of the market. There is no good beach near it. Since a river flows through the market, and ships, boats and mud float along with it. Therefore, you will have to settle in the distance: either He Lang is quieter and cheaper here, or on Long Beach. In any case, walking distance from the sea and the market is difficult to achieve. If you don’t find accommodation yourself, I can recommend reliable guys who helped us move in. And lately a lot of resellers have formed on the island

Guys, hello! Thank you very much for the detailed reports on wintering in Fukuoka, I study with pleasure) We are planning to go there in early November for 3 months. I was very worried about the review of Vinsky by people who were vacationing in Fukuoka this May, about the widespread household garbage on the beaches, in the water. What are you lying and swimming like in the garbage ... (((
Personally, we spent the last wintering on Koh Samui and in Nha Trang, that there, that there was also garbage, in Nha Trang there were more places. But this did not beg for other advantages. beautiful beaches and the warm sea, in no case created a feeling of garbage. Otherwise, we would not have stayed there with the child. Therefore, I want to ask you, as eyewitnesses of the beaches in the season, how were things with the garbage?

  1. Good afternoon. Thanks for the feedback))
As for garbage, I will not say that there is more of it here than anywhere else. During a storm and if the current is not successful, some of the city's garbage can get on the beach, especially during the rainy season, but as a rule the beaches are clean. Also, if it's stormy west coast, then in the east there are quiet beaches and vice versa, so that there is definitely a suitable place on the island.

I started to answer, and then I thought that it was a whole story, so here is a new article, about my observations about dirt, garbage and poverty:

The first thing you want to see in Vietnam is the city of love, passion and flowers - Dalat.
Here is the most unusual and entertaining house "Hang Nga" or "Crazy house", which has no equal in the world. It strikes with its unpredictable design and the absence of any system. It does not have a single right angle, but a lot of rooms, corridors, fascinating transitions. A fabulously beautiful building, which tourists aptly dubbed a madhouse, is inhabited by fantastic images of people and animals. In one year it is visited by at least a million tourists.

People go to Phu Quoc first of all for a beach holiday. Which Fukoka beaches are worth visiting? Which ones have infrastructure, and which ones are wild and neglected? Which beaches are clean, and where is the real garbage dump. And most importantly - which beach in Fukuoka is the best. Find the answers to all these questions in our carefully compiled selection. As a bonus, I’ll tell you about the most terrible beaches of the island, where you shouldn’t even go out of curiosity.

Phu Quoc Island boasts 140 kilometers of beaches of varying degrees of cleanliness and service. We have prepared a review of the seven best beaches in Fukuoka, based on personal experience of living on the island and reviews of tourists for 2017-2018. The beaches of Phu Quoc Island are characterized by a smooth descent into the water and a small wave, so they are ideal for relaxing with the whole family.

Long Beach Phu Quoc (Long Beach Phu Quoc)

This beach is the first to welcome guests of the island, as it starts in the capital, the city of Zuong Duong, and stretches south to the town of Anthoy. Long Beach (long beach - long beach) fully justifies its name: its length is 20 kilometers. A small rocky area divides it into two parts - South Long Beach and North Long Beach. The beach is very beautiful, with golden sand and a smooth entrance to the water. The area near hotels and resorts is being cleaned, so the state of the coast is simply excellent.

Ong Lang Phu Quoc beach

Ong Lang Beach in Phu Quoc is a popular and developed beach about two kilometers long with many resorts and cafes. Ong Lang area is suitable for a relaxing holiday or long-term residence, bungalows and rooms are rented in the area. The sand on the beach is yellow, fine-grained, the water is clear, blue-green. In several places there are rocky ledges with a rich underwater world, which can be seen while snorkelling. Larch and palm trees, many weeping willows and poplars grow along the shore.

Khem beach Phu Quoc

Khem Beach, also known as Bai Khem, is another beach in Phu Quoc with excellent sand and clear water that is not easy to get to. Khem Beach, with perfect white sand, is known as one of the most beautiful places on the entire island, and is freely accessible only to guests of the luxurious Marriott hotel. But you can get to northern part beach, where there is free access to the water, as well as a small fishing village.

Bai Sao Phu Quoc Beach (Sao Beach, Sao Beach Phu Quoc)

Bai Sao Beach is one of the three most beautiful beaches in Vietnam, and the top beaches in Southeast Asia. It is located on the east coast of Phu Quoc in the southern part of the island. This respectable place seems to have stepped out of a picture of tropical bliss. An excellent location for a family vacation, relaxing lying in the shade of an umbrella and evenings with a glass of wine in the rays of the setting sun. The beach is fine as flour, white sand, and the water is so clear that even at a depth you can see everything that happens at the bottom.

Starfish beach Phu Quoc

Starfish beach (Beach with starfish in Phu Quoc) is located in the north of the island, about 20 kilometers from the capital of the island, Zuong Duong. It is not easy to get to it, but the impressions of the stay fully compensate for the difficult road. The beach has white fine sand, and large shallows, with a huge number of starfish at the bottom.

Be sure to bring a mask with a snorkel for scuba diving, without them it will be difficult to enjoy the wildlife. There are several restaurants on stilts on the beach, boardwalk buildings jut out into the sea, and lunch overlooking the water can be a nice highlight of the day.

Vung Bau beach Phu Quoc

Vung Bau Beach (Vũng Bầu, Vung Bau) is located on the west coast of Phu Quoc Island, north of Ong Lang Beach, 20 kilometers from the capital of the island, Zuongdong. This is a deserted wild beach where you can sunbathe in what your mother gave birth to and not be constrained by observers around. Such freedom has back side, in the form of a dirty beach, but the beach is long enough, and finding a clean piece is not a problem.

Zai Beach (Vinperl beach, Bai Dai beach)

Bai Dai Beach, or "Zai Beach" to use Russian transcription, is located between Vung Bau Beach and Gandau Village on the west coast of Phukok. This beach delights visitors to the Vinperl resort. It is almost impossible to enter the territory from the side of the resort, even despite the law of Vietnam. You can pretend to be a guest, but they have special hotel cards, and you can only hope for luck. Despite the established order, some part of the beach is open to everyone and you can have a great time here.

Anti-rating of beaches.

The dirtiest and stinkiest beach on the island is of course Cua Canh, it is located near the village of the same name and there is nothing to do there. Dirty beach, heaps of garbage and broken boats. We do not advise you to go, it is better to spend time on the beaches from our selection, so you will leave only a good impression of your vacation in Fukuoka.

Phu Quoc, spread out in the calm waters of the Gulf of Thailand, is the most big island Vietnam and the location of the best beaches in the country. But that doesn't mean they're all equally good. The range here is extremely wide - from a piece of paradise to a garbage dump.

On the mainland of Vietnam, many try to visit one of the best beaches in Vietnam - Doklet. On Fukuoka the choice of places for recreation will be greater: sandy and rocky, equipped and wild, with developed infrastructure and completely unsuitable for a beach holiday.

Tourism industry on Fukuoka now it is developing at an accelerated pace - a new international airport has opened, additional ferry terminals are being built, the world's leading hotel chains have begun building hotels.

Beaches for the foreseeable future Fukuoka will apply to one or another hotel, and some of them are likely to become cleaner and more comfortable. In the meantime, 150 km coastline provide an opportunity to find a corner for every taste.

Phu Quoc beaches

On Fukuoka the most famous are 10 beaches, which differ markedly from each other in terms of comfort, development of tourist infrastructure and cleanliness.

Bai Dai Beach (Bai Dai)

Dai Beach located in the northwest of the island Phu Quoc. A few years ago it was one of the most untouched beaches in the world, and now one of the best chain hotels in Vietnam is located here - Vinpearl Phu Quoc Resort 5 *.

True, this will not prevent you, if you wish, from finding secluded stretches of the beach with untouched nature.

Beach Bai Dai still clean, covered with yellow loose sand. The most deserted idyllic stretches of the beach are closer to the beach and opposite Turtle Island (Hon Doi Moi Island).

Diving and snorkeling enthusiasts go to Turtle Island (Hon Doi Moi Island) - there is a famous dive site here.

The sea here is warm, with a gentle approach, without currents, with water of various shades from blue to green. The beach strip is not wide, in some areas the casaurin (eolian tree) comes close to the beach.

Beach Dai Beach Ideal for children and those who can't swim.

There are small restaurants along the coast in the village. Ganh Dau(with still low prices).

Vung Bau Beach (Vung Bau)

Wung Bau one of the least crowded beaches - except for a couple of small restaurants, you will not find anything here. It is located south of the beach.

The beach has a length of about 4.5 km, framed by tall grass, palm trees and casaurines.
The sea here is calm during the dry season and quite aggressive during the rainy season. The entrance to the water is gentle with a gradually increasing depth.

This beach is not uncommon not only sea stars, shells, but also sea urchins so be careful, look under your feet.

Close to the beach Wung Bau there are several small hotels (you can also have a bite there):

  • Bamboo Cottages(with its own private beach, luxurious rooms)
  • Vung Bau Resort(great beach + reasonable price)
  • Mai Phuong Phu Quoc Resort(comfortable beach + reasonable price)

Ong Lang Beach (Ong Lang)

Beach Ong Lang is located on the west coast of the island between the village of Ganh Dau and the main city of the island - Duong Dong.

Ong Lang differs markedly from other beaches: the beach strip here is periodically interrupted by sections of rocks and stones. Here you can see not only beautiful sunsets west coast of the island, but also numerous fishing boats crossing the beach of cows.

The beach is covered with light yellow loose sand, fairly clean (hotel staff regularly cleans their areas), limited by palm trees and casaurines.

The sea here is clear, green-blue, calm, with a gentle entry into the water, at the beginning of the high season (November - December) there can occasionally be jellyfish.

Along the beach Ong Lang there are a lot of small hotels, guest houses, restaurants, fast food outlets. If you need more variety in restaurants and shops, then go to Duong Dong - 15 minutes and you are there.

Ganh Dau Beach

Beach Gan Bau Beach is located at the northern tip of Phu Quoc Island, near the village of Ganh Dau. Gan Bau Beach has the shape of a horseshoe, surrounded by forests, covered on both sides by low mountains.

The sand on the beach is yellow, with a significant admixture of ground corals. The sea here is calm, inhabited by various living creatures (due to the presence of corals and stones) - if you wish, you can watch crabs, clams, and various fish. Opposite the beach you can see the coast of Cambodia (mountain Ta Lon). Nearby are national park Fukuoka and Nguyen Trung Truc Temple worth visiting.

Right on the beach Gan Bau Beach there are two restaurants where you can taste seafood or national Vietnamese cuisine (the cost of dishes starts from 100,000VND). In the village itself, you can taste traditional Vietnamese dishes for 35,000 VND. As of March 2016, there was not a single working ATM here.

There are no hotels on the beach, but you can stay at Ganh Dau.

Sao & Khem Beaches (Bai Sao and Bai Khem)

Beach Sao Beach is located in the southeast of the island, 7 km from the town of An Thoi. This is one of the best beaches not only in Vietnam, but throughout Southeast Asia.

Sao Beach is famous for its white sand - very reminiscent of the beaches of the Caribbean.

The best part of the beach is next to the restaurant paradiso(previously called “No Problem”). In the southern part of the beach, the sand is yellow, coarser, and clean beach hard to name. A few years ago it was perfect, but now you can see the consequences of its popularity - some areas are covered with garbage.

The sea here has a characteristic turquoise hue, shallow (up to a depth of more than 100 m).

In the sea you can see many fry of fish, crustaceans, sometimes squids, in September - October there are many starfish near the coast.

Today on the beach Sao Beach you will find many restaurants, bars, small hotels, tour desks, boat and kayak rentals, windsurfing and kitesurfing centers.

Beach Bai Khem located next door, known for its white sand. Until 2014, this part of the island was closed to tourists (there were military facilities here). Now access is free, but contrary to what is written about the beach on the Internet, it cannot be considered comfortable: coastal waters are rich in fish, shrimp, anchovies, and this has led to the fact that the largest fish market is located here. Anyone who has visited such markets at least once in Vietnam knows that there is no need to talk about cleanliness here.

In the near future, the authorities plan to close the fish market here and repurpose the beach exclusively for tourism.

Long Beach

Long Beach this is the epicenter of a beach holiday in Fukuoka - 20 km of golden sand, turquoise sea and magnificent sunsets.

The beach is located on the west coast of the island, just a 10-minute drive from the international airport. It is comfortable to sunbathe, swim, engage in water sports, relax and just bask in the sun.

Numerous hotels, restaurants, shops stretch along the entire beach. Merchants right on the beach will offer you drinks, fruits, seafood.

The beach is conditionally divided into 2 parts: northern and southern.

Northern part of Long Beach has a length of 5 km, starts at the Eden Resort Hotel (in Duong Dong, near the new airport) and ends at the rocks next to the Trang An Phu Quoc Hotel.

South end of Long Beach stretches for 15 km, includes a series of small local beaches (Xep Beach, Dai Do Beach, Duong Co Beach, Duong Xanh Beach, and Vuon Dua Beach). It is not so crowded here, the infrastructure is somewhat less developed than in the northern part. This is the place to go for those who are looking for peace and quiet.

The low population of the southern part of the beach Long Beach the phenomenon is temporary - large-scale construction of large tourist complexes begins here (by 2020, construction is planned to be completed).

Rach Tram & Rach Vem Beaches

Both beaches are located in the north of the island, surrounded by tropical jungle. The beaches are rarely visited by tourists - the roads to them are unpaved, the tourist infrastructure is not developed, luxurious nature and heaps of garbage on the shore in the form of broken boats, old nets, plastic boxes, etc. In general, these beaches are waiting for the master's hand.

Thom Beach

Thom Beach located in the north of the island - very quiet and calm beach, surrounded by thickets of cashew (hazel). You can get here only by a dirt road, the infrastructure here is poorly developed, but inexpensive small hotels are still available.

Sea near the beach Thom Beach shallow, noticeable ebbs.

In the future, it is planned to build a tourist center here.

Cua Can Beach

Beach Cua Can Beach located on the west coast of the island between the beaches in the south and north. At this point, the Kua Kan River flows into the Gulf of Thailand, forming many shallows with thickets of casuarina. This place is not suitable for swimming, except for small stretches of the beach.

Wong Beach (Wong Beach)

Beach Wong Beach the first one seen by guests arriving on the island by water: here is the ferry terminal, where they arrive from the mainland. From the capital of the island Doung Dong - 8 km, nearby is the village of Ham Ninh.

The surrounding nature looks much nicer than the beach itself, especially considering that two additional berths are currently under construction.

The sea is shallow here, jellyfish are often found. It is unlikely that you will have a desire to rent a house in this part of the island, but it is quite possible to taste seafood.
