Da Nang: sights and excursions. Sights of danang, central vietnam Museum of Cham culture

We have combined Hoi An, Hue and Da Nang in one article, because these cities are located in Central Vietnam and most likely, if you decide, for example, to visit Hue, then Da Nang will also interest you. Also, these cities are usually visited by those who do not have enough beach holidays in Vietnam, who are interested in the history of the country, want to see the architectural monuments preserved from ancient times.

We can say that visiting these cities will be interesting, both as part of a tour, for example from Nha Trang, and for independent travelers.

Hoain is a city that is enough to spend one day, but it is important that you see it in the evening. This cozy city in every sense is very romantic. in the evening everything shines in lanterns, the shapes and colors of which are very different.

Every street and house in Hoi An is of interest, because the city was listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1999. You have a unique opportunity to walk along the streets and roads that are hundreds of years old.

You can visit the beach, which is next to the city, which can be reached by bike. In general, cycling is a popular mode of transport in Hoi An, and the traffic here is more relaxed than in other cities in Vietnam.

Be sure to visit Hoi An Market, not only is it a place where you can buy fruits or taste real Vietnamese food, but it is also a popular place for a walk. Near the market there are boats on which you can ride on the river.

Our rating of Hoi An is 5/5, but it is advisable to see it not only during the day, but also in the evening, if only for the sake of the romantic atmosphere that will surround you. True, modern music from numerous cafes will also be heard on the street.

Attractions Da Nang

Da Nang - The largest city Vietnam, which is second only to the cities of Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh. This is a city where tourists rarely come, vacationing in Vietnam on tour packages, but rather here you can meet independent travelers who explore the country and its cities.

Nevertheless, Da Nang has everything to please the tourist. There are numerous cafes and hotels, a beautiful promenade, along which people like to walk in the evening locals.

The embankment itself is notable for the fact that unobtrusive background music plays here in the evening, along the embankment there are many benches on which you can admire the beautiful bridges of Da Nang. It's really relaxing.

The pass itself, in addition to excellent landscapes and dangerous road includes a small tourist stop where you can buy souvenirs, drink tea.

In our opinion, if you drive a motorcycle well, then it is better to rent it in Da Nang and go to the pass using Google maps.

But, if you are for a more relaxed trip, then you can buy an open-top jeep tour. There will be no less impressions from the trip, but the trip will be safer. Also, a guided tour will be more informative, because you will most likely be told climatic features the Hai Van pass and its significance during the war.

marble mountains

There are mountains between Da Nang and Hoi An. They are formed from five hills of stone origin. Many years ago, the entire surrounding area was in a flooded state, and the hills served as islands created by nature. Each of the hills is represented by one of the five parts of the universe and have their own names. Over time, caves formed inside, next to which ancient people built temples and shrines. Hill Thuishom and today is considered the most popular place for pilgrims. Many caves are so dark that you should take a lantern with you to coordinate inside, and also not to stumble upon bats, of which there are an unmeasured number inside.

You can visit each of the caves for a nominal fee. Near the entrance, you will also be offered to purchase a map of the area and a set of pictures with images of mountain beauties. At the very base of the mountain there are two villages that have become famous for their artisans. One of them, Non Nuoc, is replete with shops with figurines, figurines of deities and ceramic dishes. Any tourist will definitely appreciate it, because you can hardly find such a quantity of ceramics and souvenirs anywhere. The prices in the shops are not the highest, and you can even bargain for a lower price. If you decide to purchase a large sculpture, then right on the spot you can arrange delivery to anywhere in the world.

You can get to the Marble Mountains if you purchase sightseeing tour at any agency in the city. But it's best to go on your own. It is much more interesting, informative and cheaper. And there will be no time limit to study better natural object. It is very easy to get to the marble mountains from Da Nang. You can go by bus, taxi or rent a bike. You will be taken to a fork, where you will immediately see five mountain hills. You can get back the same way, you just need to cross the road.

The mountain is located 40 kilometers from Da Nang. Its height fluctuates at the level of 1478 meters. At the beginning of the 20th century, the French built a resort here. Bana is special in that during the day you can observe all four seasons on it. The clouds on the mountain never rise to the top, but are located approximately in the middle. That is why it is always clear and sunny at the top. Mount Bana is very popular among tourists. They come here to restore their health. To date, an amusement park for children and adults is being built inside Ban. Since this is a resort, it could not have done without a hotel where you can stay without any problems. From here, walks to the waterfalls and to numerous viewing platforms are made. On the territory of the hotel there are playgrounds for active sports and a spa center. It is worth coming to the Bana resort complex, however, you need to stock up on money to visit all the local attractions.

It is impossible not to mention the cable car that stretches from Ban to Mount Vong Nguyet, where there is a large 24-meter Buddha statue and a number of shrines. Recently, the road was included in the Red Book as the longest and highest in the world. You can visit it during a tour of Mount Bana or on your own by local transport.

The museum was founded at the beginning of the 20th century. Today it is considered the most famous place in Vietnam. The museum houses the largest collection of Cham sculpture in the world. Most of the exhibits are represented by ancient sanctuaries founded throughout the south of the country. The structure of the museum consists of ten thematic rooms. Do not confuse this museum with Chamov. It is a kind of local history museum. For some time it was closed, but in 2011 it resumed its work. In the future, this place may become one of the most popular in the city, but so far few people know about the museum.

The Da Nang Museum is located on three floors of a modern building, which has become a continuation of an old abandoned building of the 19th century. On the territory of the ruins there are 17 former temples and tower structures dating back to the 13th century. Michonne is often confused with Angkor Wat. But the ruined buildings are still far from the scale of a Cambodian temple. Despite the huge territory of the attraction, there are very few ancient structures here, and everything that remains looks more like a cluster of stones.

You can get to the My Son ruins from Da Nang or Hoi An along with a guided tour. But, as usual, there is a second way: on your own. By renting a taxi for only $20, you can travel through the ruins all day long.
